On polish tennis federation site there is a short description of 1st roundf matches with polish players.
I will translate the most importing things.

Marta was 6-3, 4-1 up with Jane, finished the match 7-5 in 2nd.

They said it was the most dramatic match ever played in Opole. In 3rd set Olga was 5-4 up and had ...... 6 match points ..... in tie break OLGA was leading 6-2 :eek: !!!! Kozhokina won next 5 points, at 6-7 Olga seved a match point but at 7-8 it was all over.

I just came back from Opole... The first match between Barna and Blahotova seemed to last for ages and it was quite boring...Both players were throwing their raquets all the time...Blahotova seemed to learn some Polish words like KURWA (means FUCK)... Barna used to shout "Wahnsinn, du spielst wie ein letzter Anfaenger!!!". In the second set Blahotova was leading 3-0 to loose 3-6...The same in the second. She led 5-2, to finally win 7-5.
Marta and Eva came on court relaxed and smiling, while "We will rock you" was being played...
Marta took the lead 3-0 but Birnerova managed to level at 3-3. The end was all Marta serving aces and hitting longline winners to win 6/3. In the second set Blahotova didn't play better, it's just Marta who seemed to have problems with the 1st serve. The third set was a one way rally (except for the 4th game with about 3 BP for Birnerova). When Marta finally won the point for 4/0 Birnerova seemed to gave up, cause she didn't win any point in the next two games. Marta served an ace a t 5/0 40-0 to end the match.
In the whole match Marta served about 10 aces!!! She seems to be on fire...Good Luck in the SF!!!

The match between Barna and Blahotova (the first one scheduled for today lasted about 3 hours!!! and Marta went on court at about 4 p.m.... After Marta's match Nociarova was scheduled to play, and afterwards Zarska...So the probably finished something around now... I had to come back earlier unfortunately (got a date :)

What happened to Ania? :eek: I mean, she used to have such scores but rather the other way round, like 0/6 1/6 or sth. Well, I will not complain if she keeps going like in Opole!! I saw her training yesterday and she was trying to hit the ball quite flat and she barely made any errors although she hitted quite hard. She seemed calm, relaxed, not making a big thing from her previous wins...Good attitude. Hopefully this will be the start of her comeback! :)

I don't think so...She'll be ranked about 250 and will stil drop the points for winning Stockholm 10K last year and the quali draw for AO is 96players...She must win some matches in Pattaya in order to play in Australia...
