Not surprised by Evie's loss. Im sure Trudi has seen the worst of Evie over the years and gave herself a shot at it!

lol...let's hope so. We know she (Bryanne) is capable of winning these events (or at least reaching the finals), but this is her best win in gosh knows how long :)

I'm embarrassed for Evie, but not for losing to Trudi...just for the scoreline. I can only imagine how AWFUL that match would have been in the final 2 sets, with Evie wilting under the pressure and trying to hang on by a thread. What's new.

Meanwhile Christina Wheeler has just lost to Q-Poutchkova 6-2 6-3 at Sedona instead of grabbing easy points here! (... don't give me excuses about experience and tougher compeition etc...... ;) ) But you never know as some of the girls seem to be a bit more focussed judging by results eg. Hewitt, Kriz, Stewart, Adamczak and maybe Christina may have had it tough!

MACKAY, Qld - Abigail Spears from San Diego California won her first title on the UncleToby's Tour yesterday when she defeated Trudi Musgrave from Newcastle after Musgrave retired with a thigh injury in the final. Spears was leading 5-2 in the first set when Musgrave indicated that she would not continue.

The injury occurred in the third game of the set and Bruce Rawson, the tour physiotherapist, was called onto the court. Musgrave continued to play but was severely hinded by the injury.

The doubles final was also affected as Musgrave was teamed with Spears to play Evie Dominikovic and Bryanne Stewart. This match was not played.
