Dresden (dpa) - Sachsens Landesmeisterin Lydia Steinbach ist nach einem Hitzschlag beim Tennis-Turnier in Hechingen (Baden-Württemberg) aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen worden.

Die 23-jährige Dresdnerin war im dritten Satz des Erstrundenspiels :rolleyes: gegen die Weißrussin Jekatarina Dzehalowitsch auf dem Platz zusammengebrochen. Im Krankenhaus wurden ein Hitzschlag mit hohem Fieber und eine Nierenunterfunktion diagnostiziert.

Nach drei Stunden Spielzeit bei 38 Grad Celsius gab Lydia Steinbach beim Stand von 6:4, 6:7 (3:7), 1:2 auf. Die Ärzte erteilten ihr für eine Woche Spielverbot. Ihre Teilnahme an der Universiade vom 21. bis 31. August im südkoreanischen Daegu ist jedoch nicht gefährdet. Lydia Steinbach hatte sich als zweifache deutsche Hochschulmeisterin für die Veranstaltung qualifiziert.
