You might be wondering while looking at this draw, why do so many Koreans have the same last name?

Well, I think like 25% of the population has the last name "Park" and another 25% has the last name "Lee", and "Cho" is also right up there. At one point, marrying a person with the same last name was ILLEGAL (:o) so so many couples were engaged for a lifetime lol. But finally, the law was reversed and you had Cho's marrying Cho's and Park's marrying Park's and etc. :)

Yeah, Kim's supposed to be the most common name, and I herd there are about 12 million Kims alone in Korea. People with the surnames Kim, Lee, Park, Choi & Chung/Jung make up over half the population. :o
