I can see that you are under the charm of Zi ;) .

Yes, Zi has some very good shots, and she is starting to have some results in tournaments :D (she qualified for WTA Shanghai Main Draw end of last year already). I have not seen her play for a while, but I think to remember that she needed to improve drastically her serve, which was a serious weakness. She is still young however and will certainly improve in that field :) .

I believe that Jie is a very good player. And I am glad that Ai Sugiyama thinks the same, as I have asked her this year, after their Fed Cup match :cool: . It was a fantastic match, very tight, even in the second set. As Ai told me, Jie needs a bit more experience (to better play the important points in particular) and to improve her serve too (mostly her second serve).

I believe also that Jie is mentally the strongest player of the three.

I agree with you that Tian-Tian needs to improve her backhand. The good thing is that she is aware of and working on it. I already noticed some good improvement between last year and this year :) . And she beat Wynne Prakusya (#135) in Fed Cup nearly only with her backhand (Wynne was hitting all the balls onto Tian-Tian's backhand in the 2nd and 3rd sets).

Tian-Tian has been working also on her serve, and I think that it's a good weapon of her now.

These three players like to go the net (they all love to play doubles) and this add diversity to their game :cool: .

SAB 19/07/2003 E´ la cinese Tian Tian Sun la prima delle due finaliste della XX edizione del "Memorial Eugenio Fontana" di Modena (ITF, $50.000, terra). La tennista asiatica, che è anche in finale di doppio in coppia con la connazionale Ting Li, ha battuto oggi in semifinale la spagnola Gala Leon Garcia, la quale si è ritirata dopo aver perso per 7-5 il primo set.
L´iberica ha risentito dell´eccessivo caldo e, dopo aver provato a riprendere grazie all´intervento del medico sul campo, ha dovuto lasciare la partita sul 3-0 nel secondo set. L´altra semifinale è tra l´altra spagnola Cristina Torrens Valero e l´ungherese Melinda Czink.

This is what I was thinking too. Being in shape and able to withstand the heat is part of the sport :) . And Tian-Tian went on to win her doubles semi-final too (the same day I think) :cool: :

The doubles final was played on Saturday. :)

Doubles is always played after singles on the same day if the same player is involved. ;)
