Lee-Waters' Boy, LaGuardia is the closest, but mass transit coming out of the airports out to LI is pretty much non-existent...so just go to the airport closest to where you're staying and hope for a cheap cab ride or someone to pick you up...so any of the LI airports (LaGuardia, JFK, or MacArthur) would be fine.
