what's been ahppening with elke's ranking? i've been following her for the past few months and although she does ok in most of her tournaments she is always ranked somewhere around the 600-700 mark i don't think i have seen her ranked above #600.

Points for 10K events take a couple of weeks to go on to the ranking, so when the points from Hull and Tipton eventually go on to her ranking she should be around 510 in the ranks in singles and in Doubles I have no idea what her rank will be

yeah i know that but it seems that she hasn't been progressing in the rankiings very much even when she has got to semi-finals. like last year didn't she reach one or two semi-finals? i would have thought that that would have moved her to at least around 500 and more likely around 450.

i mean golovin is around #430 and she hasn't done quite as well as elke (not that tatiana doesn't deserve it).

Gowza, ELke hasn't played that many senior tourneys yet either. She hasn't been doing THAT well really. She got to the SF at the end of last year at a $10k challenger in Sweden, and now these two semi's. But she played in three $25k's in AUstralia and didn't qualify for any of them...

and don't forget, getting to the semi's of a $10k only gives you 2 round points. If you are lucky enough to beat a couple of players in the top 500 on your way to the SF, you could end up with 4 or 5 points, but Elke needs to do well at the $25k's as well to get her ranking up!

That said, this is her first full year n the "seniors" tour, and it will be interesting to see how she does. When next week's rankings come out she should be around 500, so that's a good step.
