will the tasks finish faster if i use windows xp/windows 2000 (maybe because the performance is much better) instead of windows me/98 etc. ?

Sophie, I don't think it makes a huge difference in which version of windows you use, I think what makes a difference is how big your hard drive is and also how fast your processor is. That's what speeds up all the tasks.

Hope this helps you! :)

as a matter of fact it does make some differences depending on what kind of computer you work. Win2000/XP systems have better multitasking then 98/me. I don't know the exact details about me or 98, but I doubt they allow multiprocessors (more then one CPU) which 2000/XP supports.

2000/XP is just more professional and stabile then the other two..and their procesmanagement will be better.. so the work will be done faster :)

With the current size of the tasks 3hrs is nothing to worry about, oh and on a side note that is an excellent signature.
