So, in Germany we now have 10 professional events left. :mad: And they are moaning that there aren't any young talents here. :rolleyes:
It's not that I need to have a tier II event right here. I wouldn't mind to go to a challenger event. But there aren't any here. Just one 10K event 250 km away. :mad:

Really ??? I didn't check that.

How is that possible ? :( And there goes my explanation for German non-success. ;)

yes nothing

Sochi $25K was scheduled for week of Sep 9 but was cancelled

the only $10K event in Russia, (Moscow) was disbanded after it was cancelled.

Sochi was a $10K until the mid-90's then cancelled.

still there are lots of near-by events
Lots in Poland where our girls get to
one in Minsk, Kiev, Tallinn and the two in Georgia

other than that they have to go long distances

i love those 10k itf in spain which give some girls the chance to play maybe their only pro match of their lives. If they were 25k or more, would be full of forange players so they would not have that chance. Plus they are also a great way to earn some points for those players who are beginning and have a future :D

Australia

$10K = 4
$25K = 7

Total = 11

But since we are so far away, we dont get many overseas players (mainly Asians and the occasional struggling Euro), hence not having higher tier challengers I suppose....and that is why many of our girls struggle when they compete overseas...because the competition here is not too strong, and its quite a shock at the difference in quality between an Aussie $25 and a US one for example.

There is almost always a tourney on in Italy! :eek:
