Because they aren't allowed to thanks to Larry Scott who threatened to sue the board etc and put a stop to lists being published as the original lists don't reflect the actual players who end up playing (like we don't know that anyway) and some tourney directors complained or something. :rolleyes: So stupid. It's also why we are now "tennisforum". ;)

It;s right - if not gold/silver exempt player asks for a WC by a certain time then the tourney can give the WC to whoever they want. :) I would doubt Groenefeld is silver exempt, but I could be wrong.

Players in the top 50 are given a gold or silver status depending on their rank and their "star power" which means they have certain commitments (to certain tournaments) and it also means they get certain concessions too - ie WCs held for a player with a certain status at big events, more prizemoney if they fullfill commitments etc...
