Great set for Serena. She stayed calm and composed. She had a shaky game in there, but overall, a return to form overall.

I'm also happy with Dementieva's play later in that set. There were some good rallies and her serve got better as the set progressed. She'll have to keep it up if she wants a chance. Serena is dialed in today.

She hit a really nice forehand which clipped the line and Serena hit a floater back which Lena would have for sure put away but the lady called the forehand out like 2 shots later. Edit: and Lena challenged it and it was in so they replayed the point and Lena lost it.

There was a long point where Lena hit a great shot while coming in that hit the baseline, Serena hit it back but meekly and Elena was about to put that shot away for a winner, when I think either the umpire said the shot was out on the baseline.. or hte linesperson said it was out.

Looked in from what I saw, but not the worst call in the world. They had to replay the point which sucked for Elena because she ended up losing the replayed point but winning the next one. Anyway, great game for both players although now Elena is in a 0-30 hole.
