Ouch!!! This loss has really got to hurt for Kirilenko. She was up 4-0 and 5-1 in both the 2nd and 3rd sets but could not close out, as Craybas came storming back both times for a dramatic victory. Craybas moves on to the semis and is looking good once again!

Cornet did well to recover after a disastrous start. At 4-0 up in the decidr it looked like Cornet would cruise to victory, but Vaidisova fought back to 4-4 and looked like she would sneak it, but Cornet was able to steady herself just in time to come out on top. Vaidisova will be pleased to be finding some form as we approach the French, where she is defending champ

After a whacky first 2 sets we saw some absolutely thrilling stuff from these 2 in the decider. Cornet got the early break, before Serena took charge, just to be broken back by Cornet for 5-5 - heading into the breaker it was anybody's guess who would get the win, but just one mini-break edged it for Serena. She, like Craybas, will be gunning for her 2nd title of the season, but Serena also has the #1 spot firmly in her sights going into the final. Good week for Cornet, who will move up to #6 next week.

I think Craybas should be dubbed the "Comeback Queen" after this week. Up 5-3 in the decider, Serena will be as sick as a chip after letting this one slip away, but all credit to Craybas for hanging tough and she wins her 2nd title. Serena's quest for #1 will have to wait, but probably only a week as Dementieva is defending champ in Rome next week
