How ironic that people criticize the players for withdrawing from this Olympics en masse and then in the next breath berate Jelena for not doing the same.

People are different. What drives them is different. Maybe JJ is more patriotic than some want to believe. Maybe she would rather die on the court than quit. That is her right.

Lay off. She should be commended for making the effort to play through pain for her country.

That's a fair comment Rena, not gonna argue with that.

In saying that JJ was relatively injury free in 2007 with a far heavier schedule. From memory only a turned ankle early in the season playing Mauresmo at Doha.

Once the niggles start though, without proper recuperation they tend to pile up.
