Patch Aug 4th, 2008, 11:24 PM Preview
Patch Aug 4th, 2008, 11:24 PM Season 2 - Bonus Points
This season there will be a chance to collect bonus points in each tournament. You can win bonus points either by writing an article (worth 5 bonus pts) or beating a player who has more surface points than you (worth 3 bonus pts)
However, you will only be able to use these points at Grand Slams. You collect up as much points as you can in the weeks between Slams to use at the next Slam coming up. So all bonus points you make during Wks 1, 2 and 3 will be used to add on to your normal points at the French Open. The same will be done for the other three slams and the Olympics
Any Questions?

Argentina - 10

Govortsova looking forward to Charleston
Belarussian Olga Govortsova is heading to USA to play her first tournament of the season. It may be on clay, but that doesn't touch her. "I know, I am the best. I'm playing some Spanish girl, but I'll only lose, if I play bad. That's how it is. I'm so happy I got this opportunity to play, and I want to thank our (Belarus') lovely coach. He's the man." The tournament in Charleston will begin later this week.

It begins the best thing
For the Argentina Gisela Dulko, in Charleston USA begins the best of the season due to the fact that your better surface is clay and the tournament gives beginning to the surface.
For the Argentine sera the first match in clay and was facing the young Danish Caroline Wozkianki.
Gisela is practising every day in the facilities of the club to come beyond to the tilte.
In the main draw of doubles with the Chinese Na Li

Europe rocks Aug 8th, 2008, 09:39 PM Japan prepare for the clay
http://www.wtnphotos.com/data/535/ai_sugiyam.jpgSugiyama playing on the French clay with Belgian friend, Kim Clijsters
After a two week break from serious competition, the WTT heads back into town, stopping off in Charleston, South Carolina, to start the four-week clay court swing of the season. While some teams will be relishing the change in surface, Japanese player Ai Sugiyama knows that the next few weeks will provide her team with a very tough task.
"I think everyone knows that the clay court season isn't our strength. In an ideal world, we would have done much better at the Aussie Open to try and close the ranking point gap with Australia and get closer to the number one spot, so know we are going to struggle. Our style of play isn't suited to clay so we will not be able to win as many matches. In fact, I don't think we won a singles match last year on clay, which doesn't bode well! However, we are the number two team in the world and we will not skip the clay. If we ever want to improve our play, we will need to play lots of matches of clay. I've been out in Europe for the last fortnight trying to get better, playing lots of matches on clay. All I can do now is just get on court and try to do my best," said Sugiyama in a press conference ahead of the Tier I event.

- I am too much nervous, want to play, have a lot of faith of which if I make him my game can win Caroline. - Today I saw her practising and she has a small injury, for what I am going to take advantage of the difference to win the match.

Another team try to push the South Africans but another team fall short. Its been a great week for Germany who are knocking on the door of the top 8 now but the South Africans are just so good on clay and theyve displayed that this week with winning this title without dropping a set. Well Done.
