Tati is always amaze, but she only plays well in Gold Coast, cuz she likes it that way. She doesn't really care about tennis tbh, she is a superstar. So she wins a tournament every now and then to shut haters up. She's a model/actress/tv host and much more.

American newcomer, Monica Seles, posted a message on her official blog following her opening round loss to seventh seeded Russian, Maria Sharapova, in Dubai:



Hello everyone!

Well, I'm finally on the Tour! I have worked a very long time for this moment to come, and I am proud of myself and my coach for never giving up. Dubai is a beautiful city, and I played two great matches during my stay. My opening match was in the qualifying tournament, and I played a talented American by the name of Meghann Shaughnessy. We played an exhausting match, and we had many fun rallies. I won the match 7-5 4-6 6-4, and I was so happy! My first win on the Tour!

Earlier today I played Maria Sharapova. Maria is such a talented player, and she hits the ball really cleanly and flat. We both play the same sort of game, and I think that is why we had such an incredible match. I lost the first set, and then came back to win the second. The third set was power tennis at its best. We played all the way until the tiebreak, and unfortunately, I ran out of steam and lost it 10-8. The final score was 6-3 4-6 7-6(8). Despite losing, I am very proud of myself - I need a little more practice to be able to compete with terrific players like Sharapova. She is in the higher ranked group on the Tour, and that's where I want to be in a couple of weeks!

I want to end off by giving a huge thank you to my fans all around the world! Thank you for your encouraging words of support and wisdom, and I will continue to play my hardest and try to win my matches for you!

Safarova Finally Beats Schnyder

They’ve met countless times over their two seasons on the OWTT circuit, but not once as Czech, Lucie Safarova, ever came out on top. But today was different as a determined Safarova, battled back from a set down to post her first ever win over the Swiss number 2. The first set was tough, both girls using their serves to set up points which meant no breaks but enthralling rallies. It was Schnyder who took her chances at 4 all, breaking an inaccurate Safarova to then close out the set. The second set was all Safarova as her groundstrokes were on display as she destroyed an error-making Schnyder, to take a 3-0 lead. The Swiss number 2 managed to break Safarova in a tough deuce game, this only encouraging her to step up her game and win the set 6-1. The will to win came on the line in the deciding set, and it was Safarova’s passion that shone through. Desperate to take a win against Schnyder, the Czech saved break points at 2-3 giving her a huge momentum boost. In the end Safarova’s all-court game proved too strong for Schnyder, winning 4-6 6-1 6-3.

After the match a delighted Safarova said, “I’ve play Patty so many times in the last two seasons but never managed to win, and finally breaking that drought today is amazing.” “I’m so pleased with my performance and can’t wait for my match against Dinara (Safina).” An ecstatic Safarova spent an extra ten minutes on court, signing autographs for fans who witnessed her first ever win against Patty Schnyder.
