Karat0589 Jul 21st, 2008, 08:20 PM This will be a Level 1 tournament here is Essen, Germany. :bounce: (Amandine always seems to miss the Level 1's.)
Well the draw is looking really compelling ... Radwanska vs. Jovanovski again. :rolls:  Urszula did send new points so it might do her some good in this match. :p I'm looking forward to Laura's debut appearance on the tour but she has a very tough task ahead of her in Nastya. :) Julia finally got the draw that she was looking for ...:p But right now, Kristina is starting to play better so I think it will be a great match. :yeah: The match I'm looking forward to most is Larcher de Brito vs. Filipovski. I'm going with the upset for Filipovski on this one. :D
Anyways, good luck to all the players! Cheers for a good tournament. :D
E.Dementieva_FAN Jul 21st, 2008, 08:29 PM Timi is ready to win another tournament.
Karat0589 Jul 21st, 2008, 08:30 PM Timi is ready to win another tournament.
:haha: Actually it's what I'm expecting at this point since Amandine isn't in this tournament.
But you need to watch for Filipovski and at some point Montez will get lucky and win that crucial CT.
E.Dementieva_FAN Jul 21st, 2008, 10:43 PM In this case Awesome Timea will retire  And this game is without Timi = :help:
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 01:58 AM In this case Awesome Timea will retire  And this game is without Timi = :help:
Zoli. :spit: I'll admit Timi has brought her personality and game(:haha:) to the tour but we can do without her. I was hoping for 8 players by the US Open... We have 15. :woohoo: Though Timea will stay anyways.
Btw, results are starting to be calculated. I think I gave more than enough time to send points. :)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 02:59 AM First round results completed. :D
Will post them soon. :)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:04 AM R1: Urszula Radwanska vs. [7]Bojana Jovanovski
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_24341_gallery.JPG
:speakles: Radwanska def. [7]Jovanovski 6-0, 6-2 :speakles:
A near perfect game played by Urszula today! :worship: From start to finish, Urszula was as solid as a rock. :speakles: She had a lead of 6-0, 3-0 and I was literally thinking that we were going to have a double bagel on our hands. :spit: But Bojana finally cooled down and was able to get a game on the board but Urszula still didn’t give in. Comes to show what a good change of points can do for you. :yeah: Bojana. You were just completely outplayed today. Good luck next week. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:06 AM R1: [6]Anastasia Palyvuchenkova vs. Laura Robson
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_28012_gallery.JPG
:speakles: Robson def. [6]Palyvuchenkova 7-5, 6-4 :speakles:
And the upsets continues. :speakles: After dropping the first four games(pictured), it looked as if we were going to have another blowout. However, on the contrary to Bojana, once she got on the board, Laura was able to settle down and play her game. :yeah: After sneaking out of the first, she came back from a 4-2 deficit also in the second to clinch an impressive win in her debut. :worship: Nastya. Good luck next week. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:08 AM R1: Aleksandra Krunic vs. [4]Nikola Hofmanova
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_29148_gallery.JPG
[4]Hofmanova def. Krunic 3-6, 6-1, 6-4
And Nikola finally stops the bleeding a little bit and draws some dignity for the seeds. Every week Aleksandra seems to be growing in confidence and starting to play better on the Juniors tour. Every week I’ve seen constant improvement. :yeah: Soon enough she will have her first win. As for Nikola, she played a brilliant second set in trying to recover from one set down and at the end she had just that more in the tank. :D Good luck in the next round. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:09 AM R1: [3]Michelle Larcher de Brito vs. Alexandra Filipovski
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_26901_gallery.JPG
[3]Larcher de Brito def. Filipovski 6-1, 6-3
And that’s how you beat Filipovski. :yeah: 100x :worship: to Michelle who played a perfect match similar to that of Urszula against Alexandra. :yeah: Their respective strategies matched up well against their opponent and ultimately never let them into the match. :worship: Michelle now continues to carry the torch for the seeds and she advances into the quarterfinals. :yeah: As for Alexandra, her strategy matched up well against yours. Good luck next week. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:11 AM R1: Julia Glushko vs. [5]Kristina Mladenovic
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_28556_gallery.JPG
:speakles: Glushko def. [5]Mladenovic 6-3, 3-6, 7-6[0] :speakles:
Yet another seed goes down. And what an emphatic way for Julia to get her first win. :worship: She really had to work extremely hard for this win. and she definitely earned it. :yeah: After playing a good set, Julia’s game started to tighten up a little as she was nearing her first victory. The final set, however, had flashes of brilliant but also times of only nerves! Julia won the crucial CT at 5-5 that saved her from losing this match but it just seemed like fate at this point! It’s a great win for Julia as Kristina was starting to regain her own form as she has made two consecutive semifinals. Kristina. Good luck next week. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:13 AM R1: [8]Kristina Kucova vs. Aranza Salut
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_21225_gallery.JPG
[8]Kucova def. Salut 6-2, 4-6, 6-1
Kristina is really looking to put herself back on track after falling behind a bit in the past weeks. :awww: In the sets that she did win, Kristina was very solid and wasting no time. :worship: She advances to the quarters now where she has a tough task in 2nd seeded Timea Babos if she wants that spot in the semis. Aranza. :awww:  Your third set needs a lot of work. Try switching the sets maybe or tweaking your points a bit because if your match goes to a third set, it seems like it is very likely that you’ll lose that set. :awww:
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:16 AM And that concludes the first round! :D
The only quarterfinal that lived up to its expectations is [8]Kucova vs. [2]Babos. :tape: However, Radwanska looked impressive in her first round win and will be looking to make her mark on the tour again while Robson and Glushko are looking make their mark. :)
Quarterfinals results tomorrow. :) I'm tired.
Daniela-Is-Mine Jul 22nd, 2008, 08:40 AM Kristina :yeah:

I saw! :D
Hope you are enjoying your trip. :)
Alexandra:(
 Michelle's points matched surprisingly too well hence the one-sided scoreline.
Hashim. Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:09 PM :speakles:
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:57 PM Quarterfinal results coming up ...:)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 03:59 PM QF: [1]Pamela Montez vs. Urszula Radwanska
http://www.pragueopen.cz/2007/pix/IMG_9360.jpg
:speakles: Radwanska def. [1]Montez 3-6, 7-6[3], 6-3 :speakles:
I think it’s safe to say Urszula is back. :worship: And I think right now she is playing better than she ever has! :worship: The first set went to Pamela quite comfortably though however there was a lot of CTs. :rolls: I think the last 4 or 5 games went to CT. :o Well in the second set, both players left out their best tennis and Urszula won the crucial CT at 5-5 to seal the set. :yeah: In the third, Urszula got out to an early lead and never looked back getting an impressive win over the #1 seed. :worship: Good luck in the semis, Urszula. ;) As for Pam, I used your new points and they are very good! You just ran into a very hot opponent today.
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 04:01 PM QF: Laura Robson vs. [4]Nikola Hofmanova
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_26896_gallery.JPG
[4]Hofmanova def. Robson 6-2, 3-6, 6-4
Nikola ends the fairy tale run of British hope Laura Robson in peculiar fashion. :spit: It was a very weird match to say the least because both players were extremely streaking. When a player won a game in this match, it had to be 2-3 consecutive games. And then the other player would get 2-3 consecutive games. It was just that kind of match. At the end, Nikola’s experience came through. :yeah: As for Laura, interesting strategy to say the least. Good showing, and good luck next week. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 04:03 PM QF: [3]Michelle Larcher de Brito vs. Julia Glushko
http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/5728/capt56ab7a39b1dc46dd9e5ea6.jpg
[3]Larcher de Brito def. Glushko 6-4, 6-4
Julia’s run in this tournament has ended. :awww: But Michelle was mighty impressive. Like in her match against Aleksandra Krunic earlier this year, Michelle was always ahead in this match and never really felt threatened. :D It allowed her to give her best tennis today and to surge into the semis without dropping a set. :worship: Maybe a second title is in the running for Michelle? :D As for Julia, you got your first win this tournament. Keep on working. ;)
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 04:06 PM QF: [8]Kristina Kucova vs. [2]Timea Babos
http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/player/IO_32513_player.JPG
[2]Babos def. [8]Kucova 3-6, 6-2, 7-6[3]
OMG. For a second, I thought that bitchass Timea lost. But she recovered well in the tiebreak and is yet in another semifinal. Timea went out there thinking she was the queen of the Juniors :o and ultimately lost the first set. However, she did well in the second set and just was mentally better when it came to the tiebreak. :yeah: Someone get Timea off her throne please. :o :help:  As for Kristina, good try I thought you had the win for a second. Good luck next week. ;)
P.S. Zoli, it would be nice if you can send me some pictures please.
E.Dementieva_FAN Jul 22nd, 2008, 04:09 PM Zoli. :spit: I'll admit Timi has brought her personality and game(:haha:) to the tour but we can do without her. I was hoping for 8 players by the US Open... We have 15. :woohoo: Though Timea will stay anyways.

Maybe Michelle will beat you. I'm not sure if you played her yet. :p And if you make the final Urszula and Nikola both sent new strokes so don't be so sure of yourself yet. :p

http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/image/gallery/IO_21265_gallery.JPG
[4]Hofmanova def. Radwanska 6-4, 7-5
To be honest, I really was thinking that Urszula was going to win this match especially at the pace that she was going! All props to her, she played a strategically perfect match. :worship: In the second set, Urszula had her chances coming back from 2-4 down to get a SP of her own but Nikola came up clutch hitting a beautiful return winner and sealed the match two games later. :yeah: It’s Nikola’s third Junior final … Will she finally come through? As for Urszula, great week for you. Good luck next week. ;)

:worship: [3]Larcher de Brito def. [2]Babos 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 :worship:
Whenever Michelle steps onto a clay court, she always seems to play her best tennis. :worship: To be honest, I was expecting Timea to win this, but good on Michelle for proving me wrong. :yeah: This is a Level 1 event and with a win here maybe could retake the #3 spot from Timea. It was a high quality match and kudos to both players. :worship: Timea. :haha: :awww:  When she was leaving the court, the crowd gave her a standing ovation because they couldn’t get enough of her  :hearts:[/sarcasm]. Well anyways, good luck next week. ;)

GAME, SET, CHAMPIONSHIP [3]MICHELLE LARCHER DE BRITO
:speakles: 6-1, 6-1 :speakles:
That has to be the biggest spanking on the ATT Juniors tour to date. :speakles: Michelle came out burning today and was firing on all cylinders. :worship: Nikola’s strategy completely matched up to Michelle’s perfectly. :worship: After dropping the first game in each set, Michelle went on a rampage taking the next six games in each. :speakles: A quick note on each of their points is that BOTH players use the same strategy in set 1 and set 2 hence the lopsided score. The CT didn’t affect it much because the score would either be 6-2, 6-1 or 6-2, 6-2 or 6-1, 6-2 if the CT went Nikola’s way or not. :tape: Congratulations to Michelle for her second Juniors ATT title! :worship: It was Nikola’s third Junior final and she has lost in straight sets in all of them with this being the worst in scoreline. :help: After losing the first set, she looked despondent and completely out of sorts. :awww: She’s a choker in finals for sure. :help: For some quick advice to Nikola, your strategy will work against some but against an aggressive player like Michelle, you won’t stand a chance.
Karat0589 Jul 22nd, 2008, 05:05 PM Draws, rankings, and everything of that sort to be updated soon. :)

E.Dementieva_FAN Jul 22nd, 2008, 07:08 PM Queen Tímea is here again
http://planetsave.com/files/2007/11/crowd.jpg
"Timiiii" "We love you" "You are the BEST" "Other players are losers, you are the only fantastic player"
Yeah, people said this to Timi, who is the Queen of ATT nowdays.
"Hell, hello!" - said Timi after the singles final. "I know that it's a shame that I wasn't in the final but you know that a Tour Director is a bitch and he wanted Michelle to win this. My dear fans, I have to say that it was a really boring final. You know now that ATT without me is no more than :help:"
"I know that I'm the best and it isnt good for me to play here because here are only losers. But I'll play for you and will win the Grand Slam next season for sure."
"That's all I can say. You can still love me and hate the other players.
Love you guys,
the QUEEN"
