Badajoz - (IPA , formerly written Badajos in English), the capital of the Spanish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain)province (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_Spain) of Badajoz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badajoz_%28province%29) in the autonomous community (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_communities_of_Spain) of Extremadura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extremadura), is situated close to the Portuguese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portugal) border, on the left bank of the river Guadiana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guadiana), and the Madrid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madrid)-Lisbon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbon) railway. The population in 2007 was 145,257.
Badajoz is the see of a bishop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop). It occupies a slight eminence, crowned by the ruins of a Moorish castle, and overlooking the Guadiana. A strong wall and bastions, with a broad moat and outworks, and forts on the surrounding heights, give the city an appearance of great strength. The river, which flows between the castle-hill and the powerfully armed fort of San Cristobal, is crossed by a magnificent granite bridge, originally built in 1460, repaired in 1597 and rebuilt in 1833. The whole aspect of Badajoz recalls its stormy history; even the cathedral, built in 1238, resembles a fortress, with massive walls.

Imola is a town, comune (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comune) in the province of Bologna (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_Bologna), located on the Santerno (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santerno) river, in the Emilia-Romagna (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emilia-Romagna) region of north-central Italy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy)
Presently it is most noted as the home of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autodromo_Enzo_e_Dino_Ferrari) and the Formula One (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_One)San Marino Grand Prix (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Marino_Grand_Prix). The race, named for the nearby independent republic of San Marino (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Marino), which is too small to host a grand prix, is generally referred to by the name "Imola".
The city was anciently called Forum Cornelii, after the Roman dictator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_dictator)L. Cornelius Sulla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L._Cornelius_Sulla), who founded it about 82 BCE. The town was an agricultural and trade center, famous for its ceramics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceramics_%28art%29).
The name Imola was first used in the seventh century by the Lombards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lombards), who applied it to the fortress (the present Castellaccio, the construction of which is attributed to the Lombard Clefi), whence the name passed to the city itself. According to Paul the Deacon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_the_Deacon), Imola was in 412 the scene of the marriage of Ataulf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataulf), King of the Visigoths (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visigoths), to Galla Placidia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galla_Placidia), daughter of Emperor Theodosius the Great (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodosius_the_Great). In the Gothic War (535–552) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothic_War_%28535%E2%80%93552%29), and after the Lombards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lombards) invasion, it was held alternately by the Byzantines and barbarians.

Frinton-on-Sea is a small seaside town (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seaside_resort) in Essex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essex), England (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England), in the Tendring (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tendring) district. It is part of the Frinton and Walton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frinton_and_Walton) parish.
Until late Victorian times (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victorian_times), only a tiny hamlet existed with a church, several farms and a handful of cottages. The whole area was later purchased by a developer with a view to building an exclusive seaside town for the wealthy to holiday in.
Frinton is also of note for being the last target in England to be attacked by the Luftwaffe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luftwaffe), in 1944
Frinton only has two points of entry by road, one being an unadopted road coming from Walton-on-Naze (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walton-on-Naze) in the north and the other being the manually-operated railway gates at the level crossing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Level_crossing) of the town's railway station (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frinton-on-Sea_railway_station). Once geographically distinct, a series of housing estate developments now line the roads between Frinton and its neighbouring settlements: Walton-on-Naze to the North East and the villages of Kirby Cross and Kirby-Le-Soken to the West.
The town has over a mile of sandy beach (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beach) with facilities and beach wardens in season and an area of sea zoned for swimming (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swimming), sailing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailing), and windsurfing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windsurfing). The shore is lined by a promenade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promenade) along which are built several hundred beach huts. Landward from the promenade is a long greensward stretching from the boundary with Walton-on-Naze to the North to the Golf Club to the South.

Atlanta (pronounced /ətˈlæntə/ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_English) or /ætˈlæntə/ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_English)) is the capital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital) and the most populous city in the state of Georgia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_%28U.S._state%29), as well as the core city of the ninth most populous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_metropolitan_area) metropolitan area in the United States with 5,138,223 [4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia#cite_note-msa2006-3) residents. It is the county seat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/County_seat) of Fulton County (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulton_County%2C_Georgia), although a small portion of the city extends into DeKalb County (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeKalb_County%2C_Georgia). Residents of the city are known as Atlantans.
Despite Atlanta's large metropolitan area, as of July 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As_of_July_2006) its population within the official city boundaries was 486,411. This ranks Atlanta as the 34th largest city (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population) in the United States, and sixth largest city in the southeastern (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeastern_United_States) region behind Jacksonville (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacksonville), Memphis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis), Charlotte (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlotte), Louisville (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisville), and Nashville (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville) -- all of which have two to six times larger city government boundaries and lesser average population density.
Atlanta has in recent years undergone a transition from a city of regional commerce to a city of international influence.[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia#cite_note-4) Between 2000 and 2006, the metropolitan area grew by 20.5%, making it the fastest growing metropolitan area in the nation.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia#cite_note-5)[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia#cite_note-nyt-022500-6) Atlanta is sometimes considered a poster child (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poster_child) for cities worldwide experiencing rapid growth and urban sprawl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban_sprawl),[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia#cite_note-koolhaas-7)[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta%2C_Georgia#cite_note-nyt-022500-6) though the city has recently been commended by bodies such as the Environmental Protection Agency for its eco-friendly policies.

Capital of the Bolívar Department (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bol%C3%ADvar_Department), it has a population of 1,240,000 in its Metropolitan Area, and 1,090,000 in the city (2005 Census), being the fifth largest urban area in Colombia. Founded in 1533 by Spaniard Don Pedro de Heredia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedro_de_Heredia), and named after the port of Cartagena (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartagena%2C_Spain) in Spain's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain)Murcia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murcia) region, it was a major center of early Spanish settlement in the Americas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_colonization_of_the_Americas) which had impressive development in the XVIII century as the de facto capital of the Viceroyalty of New Granada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viceroyalty_of_New_Granada) and as the main hub of commerce and transportation in the late viceroyal era, situation that is reflected in its alternative capitality today. Nowadays continues to be the economic hub of the Caribbean region as well as a popular tourist destination.
Cartagena's colonial walled city and fortress were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UNESCO_World_Heritage_Site) in 1984 along with Lima (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lima).

Casablanca (Spanish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_language) for "whitehouse" {Casa = House, blanca = white} ; Amazigh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berber_languages): Anfa; Standard Arabic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_language): الدار البيضاء; Moroccan Arabic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moroccan_Arabic): dar beïda) is a city (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City) in western Morocco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morocco), located on the Atlantic Ocean (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_Ocean). It is the capital of the Greater Casablanca (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_Casablanca) region.
With a population (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population) of 3.1 million (3.85 million in the "greater Casablanca" (September 2005 census (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Census)), Casablanca is Morocco's largest city as well as its chief port (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port). It's also the biggest city in the Maghreb (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maghreb) and the sixth biggest city in the entire continent of Africa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Africa). With a majority of the modern economic sector being based in the Casablanca region, and the Casablanca area being dominant in industrial and service sector activity, it is often and justifiably referred to as the economic capital, although Morocco's political capital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital) is Rabat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabat). It is also the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Moroccan_Navy).
Casablanca is the leading city hosting headquarters and main industrial facilities for the leading Moroccan and international companies based in Morocco. Industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historic position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_of_Casablanca) is considered as Morocco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morocco)'s chief port (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port) and as one of the largest artificial ports in the world.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casablanca#cite_note-0) It is also the largest port of the Maghreb (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maghreb) and North Africa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Africa).
