Fed Cup!

Hey I have loads of free time at the moment and wanted to run a tournament. No-one was doing Fed Cup so I suggested it. If you want it:) Hopefully between now and Olympics - as real olympics is ages away and we wouldn't be able to use pics from it. That is if it is ok with Maryamator and Tzar;)


It would be slightly different than other tournaments:

(Depending on commitment the following would change slightly)

If 16 people commit the top 4 seeds would each head a group of 4 players, randomly selected. these groups would compete against eachother in a round robin style tournament. With each match having 2 singles and 1 doubles rubber.

The captain selects which players will compete in each rubber (the captain does not have to be the top seeded player)


For the rubber you have a choice

Either each could be a whole match, i.e. avi, banner and free
Or each could have a single task, i.e. 1st rubber = avatar

olympics is 1 month away,and im sure we'll begin like the 5th or so, and we didnt put 1 tournament per month cuz its way too much.. i think with olympics is more than enough..

two players who sign up first play a best of 5 sets match against each other. The organizer picks 5 tasks (don't have to be tennis related) and the makers have 24h to send them in. Then the match is played like any other in the tournaments we had so far and the winner gets a certain amount of vcash from the other player (the players decide the amount in which they will play)

No I don't really like that idea.

I think we would have time before Olympics though. Wimbly will be finished by the end of the week. That gives me 4 weeks to do 3 rounds. That would be fine!

I am fine with both ideas except that we won't really have 4 weeks for fed cup because we will need some time to get commitments and I suppose the olympics would begin before the actual olympic tournament :p

EDIT: a player challenges the other one to play a match against him and if he agrees they play.
