Recap of day 6:

* Not much excitement today, but enough drama to go around. High favourites Medina and Pennetta both failed to come up with a win. Everyone believed so much them, that nobody bothered to give their opponents even a set. Safe picking was the order of the day for the last few days, but today risks were far more rewarding. Too bad our players did not catch on.
* So all is still open for the last day. And it most certainly is true that a match between Errani and Koryttseva might be exciting enough to see some differences between the players. But we won't know before Sunday (well, I will probably) if that will be the case. Will Adeegee grab a title, even though nobody believes in him, or will it be Dutch win? In doubles the Italians can still rectify their poor singles efforts. Day 7 brings it all to a close.

Recap of day 7:

* After the disaster of yesterday, players were on edge to get things right today. No Palermo darlings Medina and Pennetta to vote for, but Errani and Koryttseva, who were a little more unpredictable.
* In the singles final Tennis2007 went for Koryttseva. She scored a decisive point for him in the semi final of both singles and doubles. But today that same luck did turn his way. It was Adeegee, who had the good sense to pick Errani instead and grab the title. Much laughed at for being seeded at all, his haters have no doubt gone quite white. Looks like the nice guy from Scotland is heading for more than a lot of people thought he was capable of. And won't Jess be proud, when she returns from holiday. It might have been the mental coaching by Matt that got him through. For the sake of my own doubles partnership (we see what happens when partnerships go sour in Stanford) I will not comment on that.
* It certainly was not Tennis2007's day at all. Lucky for him he is going on holiday today, so at least he can relax now to ease the pain of losing two finals. The Italian pairing of Forza Pennetta and Smokovec deserved the praise from the audience. And to have Errani hand them the victory must have been extra sweet. Slight note of criticism towards the Dutch, it probably did not take a clairvoyant to realise the Italians would pick Errani. But things could have gone the other way easily and perhaps that is what they were hoping for.
* This ends another TT event. Time for me to catch more sleep the coming week, although I do have to qualify in Stanford (despite winning Budapest this week). Alas, that is the TT life. Keep it safe out there, kids.

So Ruisantos, what have you got to say now? I'm like the Serena of the TT tour, some of my comments might sound arrogant but I have the performances to back them up :sport:

Thanks to James for running the tournament so well :worship:

Congrats also to the Italian doubles winners :yeah: Good job :hatoff:

ADAMMMM! :D

I refuse to think this is a mere coincidence that once I tank my singles match to get out of your Quarter I mean provide a shoulder for you to cry on and motivate you this week, that you win this prestiguous event. And you got mad at me for entering us here  Congrats! :yeah:

I think the reason you went for Errani was because of how much I called her an annoying bitch I said she is a beautiful, elegant player.

Still, James is my homeboy, so perhaps in 2011 we can team up again for a one-off to win you another singles title :D
