Amandine Hesse should be getting a WC into the next pro event. ;)

Very tough draw with some juicy first round matchups.

P. Montez - U. Radwanska
N. Hofmanova - T. Babos  Both sent new points. Who will win this time?

BTW, this is a Level 2 event! :) ;)

I think I gave everyone enough time to send ... Qualie results coming soon. ;)

[1]Kucova def. Jovanovski 4-6, 6-2, 7-5

Very high quality match! :worship: Kristina's last minute tactic almost went against her as Bojana played near perfect tennis in taking that first set. :yeah: Kristina regrouped to take the second set very handily but the third set was just. Both saved their best tennis for the end but it was Kristina who took the bigger points at the right moment including saving a MP against her. :worship: World #4 on the pro circuit Daniela Hantuchova was there watching in the crowd and it inspired Kristina to go the extra mile. And the only Slovakian hope is still alive. :yeah:

That picture was taken when Aranza went up 6-0, 2-0(!) :bolt: Anastasia was just helpless. :awww: But Aranza became a bit too comfortable and Anastasia then picked up her own game to clinch the second set. Like the previous match, both players saved their best tennis for the end. :worship: At 4-4 in the third, it was Aranza who stepped up to take the next two games while Anastasia was too tentative.

Congrats, Aranza! :yeah:
Anastasia :awww:

Another very high quality match! :worship: And Urszula almost pulled off the upset. ;) A note to all the players :p: If you want to beat Pam, you have to do it in straights. The only player that I can think of who beat Pam in 3 is our star newcomer Kristina Kucova. :) Her 3rd set is real gold so there's just my piece I can give to all of you. :) Pam gets her first win in awhile as in back in the semifinals! :D

You are able to push the top 2 players on tour to VERY tough matches to the point that you can actually win them. :) But somewhere on the track they come up clutch or you get lost. :p

You know but that's how ATT is I guess. There is never any clear cut favorites. I'm sure you know what I'm saying if you think of Melbourne. You came out from losing in Qualifying to winning the Australian Open!

She has been nothing short of impressive! :yeah: She is not only qualifying but she is also beating players in the MD. :worship: This match was a nail-biter and the support of the crowd brought Kristina to the top of her game in the tiebreak not surrendering a single point! She is now in her second consecutive semifinal where she will face 1st seeded Pamela Montez for a spot in the final. :yeah: Last time, Kristina got the upset. Will it be the same this time around?

This time around, Nikola is all smiles in the interview room. In one of the previous tournaments, we caught one of Nikola looking pissed and not in the mood. :spit: Aranza is a very tricky player and she played to the point extremely well. :yeah: IMO, I think Nikola should've won in straights but it comes to show how good these qualifiers are. :yeah: Finally the potential that I've seen in her is starting to finally shine through. :sobbing: :bounce: Nikola is now in her first final and will face home-favorite and another first time finalist Kristina Kucova.

GAME, SET, CHAMPIONSHIP [Q]KRISTINA KUCOVA!
6-3, 6-3*

And that brings a dramatic end to the Slovakia Open. Kristina was so impressive bringing the same drive and determination that won her the match against #1 Pam Montez so easily. She made some real milestones in this tournament. First unseeded player to win a title is one. :bounce: Second, she is the first player to come from qualifying to win the title and in the MD having to beat all seeds. Third she is the fourth titlist on tour after Hesse, Montez, and Larcher de Brito. The asterisk near the second set indicates that Nikola would've won the match had Kristina not win that last cointoss. :banghead: The score would be 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 to Nikola. Stupid coin. :(

Yeah - a junior player will be in the "normal" Rankings if he scored at least 3 (!) times in an adult tournament - so you need to reach a second round for 3 times.

Then you are in the Rankings and can play Qualies for the "big" tournaments :p

I guess that´s a nice idea.

Okay, maybe till the next season begins? And if someone gets a Pro-Player at the end of a season he can use the "Adult-Strokes" in the 2nd half of the new season ...

Or a whole year?

Andrew, maybe you can write a summary about that in the Sign-Up and Rules thread? :p

Of course.

But I didn't make the Sign Up thread so I can't edit it. :( DavenportForever did. ;)
