POTW usually is chosen based on the player's overall performance on the surface and of course winner of the previous events will not get it.:p

Venus's Last Chance For Tier I Glory

This will be the last big event of the season for Venus Williams who has not perfomed up to her season 1 standard and has yet to reach the form that brought her success at the Year Ending Championships at the end of season 1. After an early exit in Antwerp, Venus decided to go to Austria to train in an elite indoor facility in order to get ready for the Kremlin Cup.

"All I have to say is that I am ready!!! I've been putting in the work to try to salvage the season some how, so I think I ready to compete and do well here in Moscow."
