no, i didn't run a tour here, but i used to be a manager somewhere else :)

considering my time zone, i apply for the OG, i'll do my best if u give me a shot :lick:

of course, now i see the OG will be runned differently from the other tours, so if u guys prefer someone with more experience to run it , i totally understand :D

Ok

I would like to run Palermo.

Sure

I may run Budapest ;)

Maybe you can even run something else too? ;)

If you are sure that you can handle it then you can have it. Though usually it is preferred that new managers will run some smaller tournament first.

What to do with a manager who does not post the results, which puts bad differences, postea updates with the blue after which the winners are not winners, and thanks to these errors I lost by not sending peaks in the day Today?
Someone can answer my questions?

Somebody wants to do Monteroni?

I made 3 challengers this year, and if need, I will make it too. But only in case of nobody want it..

In The Zone
Jul 4th, 2008, 01:09 PM
Question.

We made the rule that no top 30 can enter ITFs unless after the season or during slams. The week of August 4th, we are doing Monteroni, a 25K.

That same week, there is also a 100K in Mexico and a 75K in Moscow. Maybe we can run a second tournament that week and put the top 32 in one and everyone else in another? Or lift the ITF ban for this week? Maybe we could run both Monterrey and Monteroni and have no entry requirements. Or keep the top 30 in one. Doesn't really matter.

There are no WTA tournaments scheduled for the week of August 4th.

Meelis
Jul 4th, 2008, 02:42 PM
If top-30 can´t play, then one tournament is enough. If top-30 are allowed to play, then one more tournament must be added. Monterrey/Moscow can be done, even thought they might be little difficult to run (finding OOP is probably the hardest part).

Gigi_dulko committed in time in Guangzhou, and the manager wants to play the qualy, I think this is wrong, who must play the qualy is by its rightful ranking, is more Gigi_dulko was the first enrolled in the tournament. That week we already have 2 WTA tournaments, so no need for ITF. If you want, then you can run a challenger during week of October 6. $50,000 Joue-Les-Tours (France) or $50,000 Pittsburgh (USA) or $50,000 Barnstaple (Great Britain). I would suggest either Joue-Les-Tours or Pittsburgh.

Do I have to accept it? Because I posted in the thread 5 minutes before that no picks are possible anymore.

If picks were sent before first point was played, then you should accept it.

Just a question: Why some players have to grump about the Game Runners all the time? I think someone should tell these posters that a good behavior is needed.

Adrian1992 said yesterday, that he won´t be able to post Differences and Scores before 1 PM CET and a poster wrote "What a parody.... i still don't know what happen in doubles.... so bad.... sorry..."

And then we noticed that this poster didn´t even send his picks :help:

I don´t want to complain but i think there should be a code of behavior for the players  Another one made fun of me, because he sent his picks for doubles (he´s out of singles already) only to me and wrote that i should forward it to Adrian... Is that necessary? :o

Dubai for ITZ.

Still not sure what to do with Delhi. I would cancel it, since it could get messy with no oop and possible late results. But, if somebody wants to give it a try

Sorrento is a 25k, but it is also a only tournament that week. So lot of work ;)

I guess you can run it, if you really want.

I could do for Dehli an exhibition:D
You would play for fun, without ranking points, and you would play for your country;)
3 or 4 players would play for each country, and we could do groups or just play a normal draw:D
There is still a lot of time left, maybe the board will tell me his opinion about that;)
:wavey:

What you can do is this ;)

32 Countries get involve (32 draw)
7 player each country (one players play for each day of the tournament ;) ) so everyone would get in :D (if players of that country is full they can join another one.but they orginal country wouldnt be change:))
If a country aint have enough players for them,Adrian should choose who will send again :)
Winner of the team(country 7 people should get 100 points each for christmas
if a player didnt send means Automatic D/Q
Doubles will go as plan with 2 players representing a country in the 16 draw:) winners also get 100 points rest gets nothing.
I AM DELUSIONAL :o

Or we do it normally even though its XMAS :sobbing:

Or Cancel it :sobbing:

Thats my idea for an exhibition in Dehli:D

I would like to do a draw like : Germany vs. USA
and so on:D
It would be a 32-DRAW and there can also be teams like GER1 and GER2 or even CHN1 CHN2 and CHN3;)

In every team there would be 3 players who will play all together against the other team:)

Every player of a team will play against a other player of the other team at the first 3 days.
GER 1 vs. USA 1; GER 2 vs. USA 2; and so on...then there would be First Round on the first 3 days, with playing everyone against each other, and the team which scores 3 or 2 points wins.:)

DAY 1: GER 1 def. USA 1
DAY 2: USA 2 def. GER 2
DAY 3: GER 3 def. USA 3
=> GER wins 2:1

Then on Day 4 and 5 the teams would play as one player GER1/GER2/GER3 vs. ARG1/ARG2/ARG3

DAY 4:
2nd Round: GER1/GER2/GER3 def. ARG1/ARG2/ARG3

DAY 5:
Quater-Final: GER1/GER2/GER3 def. POL1/POL2/POL3

At day 6 and 7 there would be Final.
On first Day of Final GER would chose which player will play against each other(f.e.: GER1 vs. CHN3; GER2 vs. CHN1; GER3 vs. CHN2)
On the other day CHN would chose.
Max. final score would be 6:0; if it would tie 3:3, the team with more straight wins(7:6 > 6:6 TB1) would win that special-tournament!!!

DAY 6:
GER1 def. CHN3 3-2
GER2 def. CHN1 2-2 SR
GER3 def. CHN2 2-1

DAY 7:
CHN1 def. GER3 3-3 TB 1
CHN2 def. GER1 3-3 SR
CHN3 def. GER2 2-1

Germany wins with more straight wins!!!!

Maybe the board can give some Christmas-Extra-Gift Points;)
:wavey:

Please tell me if you like my idea, also all other players:)

NOTE: If you have a country, which does not have many players, you can do mixed teams like EST/VEN/INA for example;)

Rena&Jie
Nov 19th, 2008, 07:41 PM
We wont all able to play :l

Adrian1992
Nov 19th, 2008, 07:49 PM
Why?
There can me more teams for a country:shrug:
Like China 1, China 2 and China 3...
That would mean 9 players from China could play:D
If you have a country which does not have many players you can do mixed teams like EST/VEN/INA for example;)

:p question (and idea/suggestion to board members )

will there be any type of awards here? :D

Like..in the Off season

*manager of the year award
*best doubles team
*best singles player
*newcomer of the year
*newcomer doubles team of the year
*dissappointment of the year
*sportmanship award

:p

etc

these could be fun to see how people feel about their year and how people feel about other's year and to grant those ones some acknowledge and reconition of their devotion to the game ^^ :p

just a thought :D

I think there wouldn't be a TT without season-ending PRIZE POLLS ;)

I may be the responsible one, if any other board members have that much time to view the season... I think we should discuss and choose Nominations in a week or two and then I'll try to make it work and give TT players a chance to vote :)
