Yeah, that's why I made the new rule concerning doubles. If both players don't at least commit in the thread, then you guys won't play. I suggest a PM next time or something, because I don't want one player carrying a doubles team. It's not fair to the other doubles teams who commit and confirm. :angel:

Daniela Hantuchova came in to Bali, as the third seed and very eager to keep on proving herself as an all-court threat. The tier three in Bali was by far more competitive than the tier one in berlin, including World number 1 Amelie Mauresmo, ex-number oneand top five player Sam Stosur, and upset making bitch robot, Jill Craybas. Daniela as the three seed stated with a bye then cruised troughJill Craybas 6-3 7-6(0), she then made the semis beat Sam Stosur in a great quality 7-5 7-5 match. Then the final between uncontested world number one, Daniela Hantuchova and World number six and two time titlest, Hantuchova.

From the second Daniela walked on court the crowds energy was roaring and we could see both players were happy o make it this far. The match started of with the Slovak going to a quick two love lead but MOMO, as he friends call her would not be swayed she immedialy fought back to make it level on serve untill 3-3 when dani went ahead to 5-3, unluckily for Dani Amelie was in the fighting spirit.

Daniela was up at five three and had set points but Amelie fought until Daniel was just to strong. On set point Dani ran up to net trying to swich up her game and hit a beautiful dropvolley which was enouugh to take the set. The second set was 100% Slovak power as she fought to go to a commanding 5-1 lead. She hit cleancross court wineners without even serving well and waas excited when she was up fist puming every set of the way.

It was Danis serve and started of the final game of the Bali Champoinships with an ace, 15-0 the next point a return winner 15-15 next an unforced error by Amelie 30-15 next a backhand down the line by Daniela. Championship point a beautiful forehand down the line winner. "Im ecstatic to win this teh people are great the match was fun and its my third title on different surfaces. Im on cloud ninE!"

Despite losing in the doubles final, it was a good day for Jelena Dokic, as she took back her rightful position as world #1 in doubles.
Jelena Dokic has won 3 doubles titles: Sydney(Rebound Ace), Stockholm(Hard) and Seoul(Indoors). She has shown her doubles capabilities. She has made a final on every surface as well, losing in the finals of Portoroz(grass) and Berlin(clay).
No matter of the result of the doubles final in Bali, Jelena Dokic will hop over Amelie Mauresmo to get the #1 doubles spot again that Amelie took back last week from her.
Dokic an Henin in the semis took on good friends, Sveta and Elena. This match was an up and down match. In set 1, both teams dictated their service games with big serves and aggressive net play. Dokic and Henin got the only break of the set at 5-5 when Dokic hit a return winner passing shot off of Sveta's serve.

Dokic then served out the set with a big first serve that got a short reply that Henin put away with ease. Set 2, Dokic and Henin were a little less agressive which affected their mentality as Elena then started getting loose and finding her rhythm and attacking more and helped her get the break at 3-4 for a 5-3 lead when she hit a forehand crosscourt winner. Elena served out the set once again with her big forehand.
Set 3, had a lot of drama as Elena and Sveta stormed to a 5-3 lead. Jelena handled the pressure well as she was able to then hold serve with 4 consecutive aces. Elena's serve started to break down and double faulted every point away to level the set at 5-5. Henin used her beautiful backhand and Dokic's agressive net play to hold serve with ease. Sveta cracked her racket as Elena was showing her weakness as a partner. Sveta couldn't stay focused as Jelena hit a drop shot winner on match point to put them into the final.

In the final though, Henin looked exhausted and cost Jelena a big chance of winning the title. Jelena never gave in as she covered most of the court trying to have Henin do less work as she would only hit an errror. Jelena carried her team from 0-5 to 5-5 before needing the trainer herself. Jelena got her ankle looked at, which bothered her in her singles match vs. Graf. Jelena and Henin lost the set 7-5 when Henin double faulted the set away. Set 2, was the complete opposite as Jelena and Justine took early control until they choked it away as Nicole and Jelena fought back to win the title 7-5 7-5.
In her post match interview Jelena Dokic answered the many questions of the Press.
Q: What happened out there?
JD: In our first match, we both played hard and gave it our all. But in the second match, Justine just acted as if she didn't want to be there, which fustrated me because I wanted to win the title.
Q: How's the ankle?
JD: It felt fine all week since my singles match until today where I needed to do more than cover my side of the court. I will just have to take it easy the next few days.
Q: You regained the #1 ranking, how do you feel?
JD: It's well deserved, I've worked very hard these past couple of weeks to get to this position. I have shown that in doubles I am very consistent as i made the final on every surface.
Q: You play in Rome next?
JD: Yes, I am going to Rome tonight and tomorrow will arrive there looking to train hard. I will try to perform my best on my least favorite surface and continue to play hard. I play next week with Golovin and we are looking forward to winning the doubles event there.
Q: What are your thoughts on Daniela Hantuchova?
JD: I feel she is just jealous, that I usually carry our team to the titles and that I am #1 and she isn't. Also, after our semifinals win, she kept calling me, asking me if I wanted to go to dinner with her, it was awkward since we aren't friends. Also, i think she felt that rumor about me and Sveta was real, because she has been calling me nonstop.

Henin Claims Second Title!

Justine Henin has claimed her second title of the season defeating home favourite Steffi graf in the final of the Tier I event in Berlin. Henin who had struggled through to the final was expecting a tough battle form the German, the two had played 3 times previously with henin winning in straights each time. This time proved to be similar to their earlier meetings, Henin got the early break to lead 2-0, but Graf quickly levelled it at 2-2 using her big forehand and deadly slice backhand. Henin seemed to go into another level though and she used her powerful backhand to reel off the remaining four games to take the first set 6-2. The second set started as the first one finished Henin domintaing the play to go ahead 3-1, however once again Steffi showed her toughness to pul it level at 3-3. Justine started moving forward in the court and finished some points at net to move to 5-3 and and missed her first chance to close out the match on Steffis serve, and it was soon 5-4, Henin threw in some big first serves and had no trouble sealing the match with her trademark backhand down the line winner, 6-2 6-4 to take her second title of the season.

"I played much better than I expected, in my earlier matches I was being too defensive and I was having to fight very hard for my wins, today I did much better I was more aggressive and put pressure on Steffi, It was still very tough, but I felt like i was in control of the match most of the time. I am really excited to win my second title here, its very good for my confidence and hopefully I can do well next week in Rome also."

Henin was not so fortunate in the doubles with her partner Jelena Dokic. They won through to the final after a hard fought 3 set win over Dementieva/Kuznetsova the AO champions, 7-5 3-6 7-5. However they fell in the final to Jankovic/Vaidisova in straight sets 5-7 5-7. Dokic was really carrying Justine a lot in the matches as Justine seemed more focused on her singles, and seemed emotionally drained in the final which could have cost them the match.

"It was very hard for me to play doubles with jelena, a lot of the other girls don't like her and Its really hard to get a good practice session in when your partner is in and out of indonesian jails all the time. I mean is it any wonder she can't win a singles match, Honestly that girl needs to spend more time on the practice courts and less time going down on sveta. I can't really blame her though, Sveta IS one sexy bitch
