Serena Williams has now her reputation on the OWTT, she's the one who always have good results against average opponent, but when pressure comes on her shoulder in QFs or SFs, she goes down. Serena made the QFs or better 9 times out of 16 tournaments this year which is not so bad but she hasn't found a way yet to to win a title.

Serena last week went down in QFs (again) but said after her match "I lost some sets pretty badly in my last matches but I still think things are getting better for me, retiring is no more an option for me. Wimbledon is coming up pretty quick and I just feel things are gonna get together soon. I know i've got what it takes, I know I often say it but do not show up on court, but I mean you could not expect me to have my best results on clay, I hate this surface!"

Serena Williams showed some energy in this interview that we haven't seen her show since the beginning of the year. For once, she seems to be determinated to make it to the top, she believes in herself and grass suits her game perfectly, this week could be surprising, beware!

Such an ugly draw! Dulko in my quarter and I lost 3 times on 3 against her. Plus Vaidisova and Cibulkova in the same half and I lost 5 times on 5 against them. And Dechy who already upsetted me once in second round if I get there...

Vaidisova seemed to relax after winning the first set, and she quickly found herself at a set apiece. However, she regrouped and stormed through the third set to book her spot in the semis. Encouraging from Schnyder though to win consecutive matches again for the firs time in a few weeks.

Disastrous start for Dulko, but she really turned it around. Although it loked like Dechy may sneak the win after fighting back to 5-5 in the decider, Dulko extinguihed any such hopes as she raced through the final 2 games to wrap up the victory, and set up a rematch of last week's semi against Vaidisova.

Peer finally looks to be regaining some kind of form after being off her game for most of the clay season. The CT was decisive, with Olaru winning the second set on a tie-break if it had gone her way.

At 4-0 in the decider it looked like plain sailing for Dementieva, but she began to choke, and Sharapova began to get her confidence back, reeling 4 games off in a row, to level at 4-4. However, Dementieva steadied herself and wrapped it up, breaking Sharapova's serve for the victory. She moves into the semis, which is becoming familiar territory for Dementieva!

Serena Williams was just totally shoked and mad after this win she was stolen in second round against Natalie Dechy. After her match Serena said "I'm sooo bored of these stupid situations. I was so going to close the match out when she suddenly had to go to the bathroom. I mean I was up 4-1, she went off court broke my rythm and she won the next 5 games, please ban these stupid bathroom breaks for ever, just pee or poo before your matches and you'll be okay." Serena was totally mad and also stated Natalie Dechy was a total bitch and that she only deserved to lose her QF to Gisela Dulko, and added that she is one of the most unprofessional player of the tour.

Serena also shocked American fans as she announced, "I'll do play Wimbledon next week, but then I'll take a two weeks break for sure, I'll skip Stanford and Los Angeles for sure, I'll maybe comeback in Montreal or New Heaven or arrived totally unprepared for the US Open. It may take me out of the Year End Tour Championships, but I don't care about it. If I don't perform well at the US Open I'll complete the season for sure but it may be the "End Of Season Serena's Bye Bye Tour" I'm just sooo bored, I feel that when I deserve losing I lose, but when I deserve winning I also lose."

Whacky first two sets from these tow, but such a dramatic affair in the decider, The momentum kept switching and Dulko managed to win the final 4 points from 3-5 in the tie-break to avange her loss to Vaidisova from the Birmingham semis last week.

Similar to the first semi - whacky first couple of sets before a thrilling third set. Dementieva had to fight back from 3-5 in the decider, vut she comes through and makes yet another final. With Vaidisova losing the other semi, Dementieva will be the outright #1 next week.

Congratulation Elena Dementieva - she claims her fifth title of the season, and has now won 4 of the last 5 tournaments - only missing out at Roland Garros with a shock loss in her first match. She will be the outright #1 in the rankings next week. Good week for Dulko though, avenging her loss to Vaidisova from last week, and making her first final for a while.
