Well the clay season is finished, and we now move on to the British grass season, which is a short yet highly anticipated 3 weeks of tennis. Nicole Vaidisova triumphed in Paris to regain the top spot, and will be looking to do well here. The transition from clay to grass is never easy, so this week will be very interesting, and could give a good indication of who to look for at Wimbledon in 2 weeks time. French Open champ and World #1 Vaidisova continues her great form with a win over hard-hitting American Serena Williams. The fist set was really tight, and Vaidisova sneaking it seemed to give her the mental edge as she ran away with it in the decider.

Hantuchova played brilliantly at the start of the match, but she seemed to freexe at a set up and got tight, allowing Dulko to storm through to victory in style in the end.

Congratulations to Elena Dementieva who wins her fourth :eek: title! :worship: A match between the world #1 and #2 was bound to be a thriller, and the crowd were treated to a classic. Vaidisova drew first blood in the first set, securing it 6-3 with a single break. The second set was a mirror image of the first set, but with Dementieva taking it. Vaidisova twice went a break up in the decider, but was unable to close it out, as Dementieva fought back and took it on the tie-break to wrap up a memorable victory. By virtue of winning the title, Dementieva will tie Vaidisova for ranking points, so we will have co-#1s next week :eek: Great week for both! :bigclap:
