Hopefully what has happened is that Dokic has made the main draw as a SE due to making the Florence final and so Lucic has been given her WC. I just hope she keeps playing.

I believe the following story is happening :

They had to choose MD WC between Dokic and Lucic, and gave Dokic. But since Jelly is in the final, she enters with SE -> The WC goes to Mirjana. :shrug:

well, she lives in croatia, trains in croatia, her boyfriend is croatian....

^ She does not live in Croatia anymore, she sold her flat in Zagreb and is training in Monte Carlo now. If she would marry Tin that would be a different story, but at the moment she does not have a single good reason to get Croatian passport.

After such a season (2-7 with this tournament) it was pretty unlikley to see her shining here, at least she won a match and beating Doz in R1 6-1,6-1 is not bad. She can be lucky she still has the good results from the ITF's in Australia & Japan in 2007 in, otherwise the Top-200 would probably go far far away. It will be a lot to defend & everything else than easy.

Yeah. 7 tournaments are also not too many for a player around 200. I'm not sure if her game is enough for Top-100, however she was on a good way in ranking.

Yep, hopefully, maybe she will find her rhthym bad and like I said, the win in R1 was definitely not bad, it was pretty good though. Her main-goal should be at first to try to stay in Top-200 for next couple of months and then maybe thinking on more. It is good for her that she will probably do the Wimbledon-Cut and probably also for the US Open - Qualies.
