Obziler is loosing lately in an embarrassing way, so I'm not sure

On the other hand, maybe home court advantage will help her.
Doubles- Peschke is the best doubles player in this contest, but she didn't play a match this year.
That leaves the Czechs only with Benesova, about Shahar's level.

In short- Should be a very close tie, with maybe an edge in favour of the Israeli team, because they're playing at home.

1st match- Kvitova def Peer 2:6 6:3 6:0
At the beginning (In the 1st set..), I think Petra was a little stressed.. She missed many returns (of Shahar's serve..) and few easy balls. Peer wansn't so ggod, but she put the ball in the court more than Petra so it gave her the set. The beginning of the 2nd was pretty match the same, but since 0-2 she really got in to it. She had a great winners, especially form the BH side (Which is really strong! I think she's the only lefty I saw which her BH is stronger than the FH) and some grat FH DTL.
After she she took the 2nd set you could tell she would win the match, she played brilliantly (Those BH returns )and was agressive, it was realy fun watching her play (Not for Shahar thogh I guess..)
Peer on the other hand, did all the wrong things.. She was deffensive to much and should have moved Petra more, she also hit a lot to her BH side which is very strong and got winners time after time.
In the 3rd set Peer took medical time out at 1-0 but siriously, she wasn't injured, just tried to change momentum
I'm sorry that Peer lost (I think, after I saw Petra playing, that if it was a tour's match, I was rooting for Petra) because it's for my country. But after all I Petra.. She's awsome!
BTW, what she says when she pumps her self up? It's sounds like "Hoit!" but I have no idea what she says..
I also think her mental side is very good (I mean.. She didn't choke for a second )
Oh and last thing.. The crowd was DEAD in this match, from the start to finish..In Tzipi's match on the other hand..(Maybe becuase Tzipi is more loved, she's cool, and Shahr talks to muh comparing to what she does on court..)

Drama drama what a match!
I notice that many posters on GM wrote how pathetic it was from Lucie, I guess because she was the favorite and Obziler is not a great player.. But they're wrong! I agree, it wasn't an awsome and great much, but it very good and kind of dramatic.
The seven first games went to Tzipi... Lucie wasn't playing very well, and Tzipi was. She was veryy solid and had few aces and really nice winners.
After that, Lucie held serve (Easily as far as I rememmber)and she started to look better, play better, moving Tzipi more, using her cross court FH very nicely. In that set she broke twice to take it 6:3, she played very well and had few great returns from the BH side (DTL)
In the 3rd set, Lucie served first, but Tzipi, like it or not, played a briliant game to break to 1-0 and to hold after saving BP to 2-0.
Since then, the match went with serves.
Lucie and Tzipi held and it was 3-1*. That game was very tense and long.
Tzipi had few break points to 4-1 and a double break lead but Lucie saved them time after time with FH winners and great first serves (Althgouh the one in the last point of the game was clearly out..)
The point I'll rememmber most from that match was in that 3-1 game.. Lucie's ball hit the net and passed, it was pretty short but Tzipi managed to some how reach and pass it over the net, to Lucie's BH Lucie hit a BH DTL which I thought would be a winner since it was strong and accurate, but Tzipi somehow reached it and made a CC touch uot of it The crowd went nuts! (Infact, the crowd in that match was very good, cheered much more!)
So after Lucie held to 2-3* I thought Tzipi would be broken because of all the missed chances to tae the double break lead... But she hadn't and held easily. Since then, they both held easily exept in 3-5 when Lucie's served and faced a match point but she saved it and took the game, after that, Tzipi held to love.
*I think Lucie missed to many returns
*The stadium was half full, but it was the "good crowd"- Not those who came to see Sharapova in February, those who really love tennis came
*Oh and last thing, I don't know how many of you saw Tzipi plays.. She has a solid baseline games, and a good BH slice, her net play is very good too, and her movment is very good too, considering she's 35..

First of all, she's young and still inexperienced and inconsistent in those levels.. She';s only 18. Most of the girls in that age are inconsistens, their still young..
Second, I watched all the matches, and you might find our cowd this weekend rude, but I can tell you for sure that no one yelled for Petra or to the other Czechs death threats (And even if someone yelled, it's not like they could understand it..)
