Lindsay Serves It Up On The Clay

It was a hard fought match today for American Lindsay Davenport. Defeatimg a determined Jorgelina Cravero 2-6 6-3 7-5. Lindsay would start the match slow, only holding her serve once in the opening game. "Jorgelina returned well in the first set," said an exhausted Davenport. "She defenitely returns well on this surface and I was just too slow on that first shot back."

Lindsay would pick it up her serve in a huge way in the second set. Focusing on placement rather than power became the key as Cravero was sending back anything with pace on it.

"It was good match for me, especially the end. I mean hitting 3 aces to win any match 7-5 in the third is a great feeling. I hope I can start from there in my next round match.

Pin Gets Past Bartoli

Mexico, Acapulco. Being both beneficiaries of a WC The French Camille Pin imposed herself to the French Marion Bartoli for 7.6 6.2 in 1 hr 25 minutes.
The match was very fought but for Bartoli mistakes the French young woman was the winner of the duel. "She's a tough player; but I wasn't just fighting her, I was also fighting against everything," Pin declared,My shots were flying everywhere. I didn't like anything today. It was hard, but in the end I picked myself up. It's important to me to show my best performance. I'm very happy to have won today.

This one is the first participation of the young woman in E.W.T.A's tourmanet
