I also think they want to focus on singles here. They'll probably play doubles at some smaller tournament possibly and at Roland Garros. I'd like to see Venus play mixed doubles at Wimbledon, but they'll probably play doubles there again too.

But they did go out of both competitions in the space of two days. This is the last hardcourt event until July so they might just won't to focus on their singles at a tournament that is very important to them and where they have a good chance of doing very well.

Dulko/Salerni: I'm really happy they both are playing together again. I really liked that pair, especially when they won the US Open in juniors. Apparently they had some problems between them but thankfully they're playing again :) I hope they'll keep playing together the rest of the season :D

Shaughnessy/Schynder: I'm really happy Meghann is coming back but why is she playing with Patty? Meghann needs to find a permanent partner as she did with Jannette until they decided to split up. She doesn't just need a permanent partner, she needs and deserves a GOOD doubles player as a partner :rolleyes:

Sugiyama/Srebotnik: I was looking forward this day! This is the best partner, I think, Sugi has ever had. For the first time I can say that she really "enjoys" playing with her partner because she really understands Kata and vice-versa. Thankfully they'll win the title :D

Petrova/Vesnina: Now that I see Nadia in the draw, I'd love to watch her playing with Meghann again. 2004 and 2005 were great years for them! (as you can see in my avatar and signature: I loved that team!). Anyway, I hope she'll do well with Elena.

they definitely seem to enjoy themselves a lot , that's great that with all the partners Ai had in the past - Halard, Hantuchova, etc etc you think that Kata is the best match :yeah:
As a Kata fan , I knew Ai would be the best match ever for her career , and it appeared it was cause they have so many good results ... :)
tougher draws this year so far , but hopefully they get to play more often and try to win those matches against big teams like the Chinese again... and I want them to win a Slam in 2008 ( FO would be the best for me :drool: )
