Guys given the recent events, were cheating was taking place, and other things like tournaments with no manager, i realize that we clearly need a board..

Well guys i propose to have again a TT board of 8 persons lets say that are aware of all the rules and are really commited to the game and have the time to always be around and be able to solve the problem that happens.

This 8 members lets say (its just a number) should represent everyone in the game, and not be only with the previous board. I think that a good board could be persons that represent each group of the game, dont matter if they like each other or not, its like a country board, from all the politics groups lets say that way :p.

I'd like to be part of this new board.. as you can see im commited to the game, and i really enjoy playing/running it so i'd like to be part of it, and i'd give my 100% for this to work..

I propose a board like this:

-Alex (Previous Board) Bubba08
-Chris (Previous Board) Chris84
-James (Previous Board) James
-Rui (Rankings) Ruisantos
-Gigi. (Race) საქართველო
-Rik (Europe) Rik.
-Jeronimo (Latin, Hispanics, and Brazilians) Jeronimo
-Paul (North America) In The Zone

I thought on someone of Asia but they dont talk to much about the game etc..

Each member of the board could have a task, however decisions would be taken in group and with hearing opionions of TT Players

Alex could decide wich tournament is runned by Who
Chris could be in charge of Tournament Affaires, and control all irregulations about it
James could be in cheating control, like INVU2day in MTF :p.

Races By Gigi
Paul, Rik and Myself could be BACK UP managers or helping the new players, or when theyre doubts about the game

and things that are really important issues, go to Board members..

I would not go for a regional approach. It will no doubt increase the size of the board.

I think we have a pretty good set of people ahead of this namely Alex (Bubba08), Aleksz, Chris84, James, Ruisantos, meelis13 and formerly Tomek. Despite not always agreeing with them I still think they've done an excellent job and while I am all for fresh blood if we don't have efficient and reliable people to replace the ones we have now we might as well stick to the current ones. That being said I am all for ITZ, Rik and Ruisantos as new board members if they feel like it. However, there is no way Jeronimo and Gigi. should be ahead of this...it's simply pathetic...

Maybe we could do a poll with the candidates and elect the top 5....unless Jeronimo and/or Gigi. are in the 5 most voted! :p

I was going to post that before I saw you beat me to that. You haven't run a tournament, but I know that if I ever have a question - whether I'm managing myself or just have a question about the game as a player - you are always available and willing to happily advise and give your thoughts and opinions on anything game related. You're extremely reliable, knowledgable and always willing to help and command a huge amount of deserved respect. Those are qualities any board member ought to have, and a lot of people in this game don't have them IMO.

I mean I wouldn't even ask Jeronimo what time it was let alone who wins a complex TB situation.

People should NOT nominate themselves and NOT assume that other people are unwilling or uninterested in formally committing to this game on a "board" just because they don't post 50 times in this thread that they want the job and nominate themselves an additional 98 times. I don't think it works that way.

I don't want to be part of this, I lack of time (I've moved to Canada, pretty exciting!) and motivation, and like some of you already noticed, I don't even play. A more deserving candidate should take my "place". It's time for grandpa to go. :p

I doubt that the reference was going in the direction you think. I think he meant to express that the tournament was cancelled due to cheating taking place.

I haven't done much for this poll so far to be honest.
