Of the Austrians .... maybe Nikola Hofmanova, she has a decent serve and - as far as i know - good volley skills.

Well Marina Erakovic/Misa Krajicek were a great doubles team in doubles. Marina's far more interested in concentrating singles though....

Power-players tend to focus on singles. Doubles is more suited for players who have great serves and/or great at the net.

I think power players that know their weakest point is going to the net try to play more doubles to improve in that field. Maybe they're not among the best, but at least they try to add more thing to their game. Look at Mary Pierce for instance, she improved a lot in her net approach with doubles.
