Williams Back In Time For Wimbledon

It is official, Venus Williams will be returning to the ATC tour at the Eastbourne event. Williams has been nursing a right ankle injury that she suffered while preparing for the New Zealand event. The question is will she continue to be a force on tour? Or will the surge of newcombers continue to see her ranking fall.

"I'm so happy to finally be back. The last five months or so has been very hard on me not being able to play and talk to my friends on tour. I have no expectations of myself, just want to play some good tennis on the grass."

It took Venus the entire season to win a big one, the Year Ending Championships. Unfortunatley she doesn't have that much time this season to get into top form.
