Patch Feb 28th, 2008, 05:41 PM why would you withdraw from a SLAM?
Basically thats what I mean
You have to play all GS are compulsary
If you dont then I think youll lose ranking points etc...Your a top 8 team too so not playing here is just :o And your chances for YEC would nearly be gone
So Play please :wavey:

Today, Molik showed why she is the number 1 in the world. Despite losing the first set she didnt panick and makes her second grand slam final, were she will hope to go better than Roland Garros runner up. Great week from Srebotnik though - best of her carrer by far.

After some really great matches, Australia was again in the final. But now Molik played and not Dementieva.
http://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200408/r27839_69212.jpg
In the final Alicia played awesome game and Dominika couldn't do anything, that's why won in straight sets Alicia Molik.
"I'm almost speechless right now.But firstly,I'd like to congratulate Dominika! I also want to thank my family members for supporting me and helped me and finally I'd like to thank is the Tour Director-Patch for making this tournament."
"This is what I have dreamed of my whole life," Alicia said after her victory. "I've always wanted to win a Grand Slam singles title and to finally win one feels so good. The match was so tough. Dominika was so tough out there."
"That's all what I can say, thank you guys!"
Australia's next tournament will be Luxemburg where Elena Dementieva will play, good luck!
