Casey Is Ready To Win The Title

The Australian star arrived last night and she told us that her aim is to win the title of course. Last week Alicia Molik won the first grass event of the year for the Aussies but she needs to relax now that's why she isn't able to play here.

http://www.tennis.com.au/pages/image.aspx?assetid=RDM39097.3900951157&blobType=landscape

"Well, first of all I'm so glad that I'm here. I like Great Britan especially London, which is one of my favs city. I don't like grass though but I hope I can win some matches here because we want to be the #1 team soon. And because of Spain's bad form I think it isn't impossible.

Tomorrow I'm going to play against Indian Sania Mirza, who is a great player but unfortunately I don't know her very much. But before this match I'm going to go out today. I have to go now that's why thanks for the interview."

Casey's Quarterfinal Prediction

[1] AUS Casey Dellaqcua vs. [CPU] Sania Mirza
The Australian team is in a good form so it will be surprise if they would lose the match. And because
I'm Australian, of course I think I'll win in straight sets.

PREDICTION: Casey d. Sania 7-5 6-1

ISR Shahar Peer vs. [3] NED Marlot Meddens
Last week Shahar played final in the first grass tournament of the year, so I think she is the favourite although Marlot is the the 3rd player. Shahar will win the match and will have opportunity to beat Casey in the semifinal.

PREDICTION: Shahar d. Marlot 6-3 1-6 6-4

[4] RSA Bianca Swanpoel vs. JPN Ai Sugiyama
Ai will win it's clear for me. Japan's favourite suface is the grass and I already saw how they are playing on grass. I hope I won't play against Ai.

PREDICTION: Ai d. Bianca 6-1 6-4

GEO Manana Shapakidze vs. [2] CHN Na Li
This match will be the best I think. Manana is dark horse I think while Na is one of the best players on the tour and it shows that she is the 2nd seed now. Na had a little better chance to train on grass and I belive she will be the winner.

PREDICTION: Na d. Manana 7-5 3-6 6-3

Pure domination from Ai today. Though Bianca stepped it up well towards the end she had no answer and Ai pulled away for a good victory.
