I thought that also at my first tournie, but it was good a ran a small tourney to start. For first time it's just better to start with a small one.

Sorry, but I see some irony above and I'm sorry for my annoying questions! Btw, I will play my second tournament next week and I'm willing to try to make this game as attractive as TT on MTF, so I will be available as a manager from now on! I'm known in the way managing works, the only thing I don't know yet how the rules are here exactly. Who is doing Roland Garros? I know I don't have any experience managing here, but I think I might be able to help out and do half of the singles draw or something like that! I also suggested to do Rome in the second week of Roland Garros, but I didn't get any answer!

As in previous years and GS tournaments i recommend to do 4 quarters in singles and 4 in doubles and divide them per color like Orange, Green, Purple and Red and we have 4 managers.. each of them manages 1 colour in singles and doubles :shrug:

You might be right about that, but I'm assistant this week! And I've managed a tournament on MTF! So if needed, I can jump in, but if you think I'm not up for the task, just tell me indeed! Just offering my help as I think there are not so many managers!

Quite a few ppl had to wait a couple of tournaments before running a tier 2 or even a tier 3, let alone a GS. That would be quite unfair if you rvugt could run something in RG after playing only 2 tournaments.

Quite a few ppl had to wait a couple of tournaments before running a tier 2 or even a tier 3, let alone a GS. That would be quite unfair if you rvugt could run something in RG after playing only 2 tournaments.

I can help out if needed, but not as head manager. After Prague and Rome I think I will need a break from running for a while. Takes a lot of time for me often, although I do not mind doing it.

I can be head manager, i proved i can do it when i runed Bangalore :shrug:

but if i do it will be the format of 4 managers each for one quarter if you're agree since there are 128 signels and 64 doubles so quarters would be 16/8 matches = 64 players each!!! (32 singles/32 doubles)

It doesn't look like anybody is volunteering for Strasbourg/Istanbul! But as I said, I can do it, it would also be a good start than. I think I prefer Strasbourg, because timing might be better. I only might have a problem in the weekend of the final, as I'm visiting my parents than and not sure how much time I will have. But I don't think that will be a big problem. So let me know! Or just keep ignoring my posts (like the time I said I can do Rome!)

Chris and I have reached an agreement. I was tentative to agree to do TT RG because of Suicide, but he is going to run Suicide so I can do TT RG.

I'll select someone for doubles.

The only issue is that RG begins at 5am local time for me. I may post differences at 2 or 3am. Or 8 or 9am. ( Meaning 4 hours into play ).

As long as everyone sends picks, I'll try and post them early if I can.

Posting differences is just something managers did to be nice, don't lose sleep over it :lol:

I agree that you don't have to lose sleep over it, because if people don't have time to follow any matches, diffs aren't needed anyway. But if you have some time during the day, I should say that TT is like 10 times better with diffs! So I don't agree that diffs are not necessary at all. If you can give them, you should, I think. I know it's a lot of work and it's much easier to give just the result, but than the whole game and excitement of TT is lost! But of course, if not possible, it is not a problem!

(Sorry, maybe I'm affected by MTF, where diffs are always given!)

No, I never once called you stupid - what I meant was, remember how nobody wanted to give you a chance to run anything? You finally got a chance and look - TT didn't die, the game didn't collapse, we made it through that week/weeks fine, so other new people should get the chance to run a tournament too. That is what I meant.
