Q:Welcome Vera! Last week in stanford you reached the quarterfinals before losing to Tatiana Garbin in straight sets, how do you feel you played there?

VZ: I think I played pretty well in the first round, but it most certainly not my best tennis. Nor did I play my best in the second round, If I want to be a top player,Which of course I do, I need to improve my fitness, and play well more consistently.

Q: Do you think you have what it takes to be a top player?

VZ: Yes. I think the most important thing is to believe you can be a top player, and I do believe!

Q:Vera, what do you like to do in your free time?

VZ: I really like to shop, maybe a little too much!(laughs) I also like spending time with my family, swiming, and hanging out with my friends.

Q: What are some of your favourites?

VZ: Well, my favourite color is red, my favourite movie is Pirates of the Carribean, my favourite singer is Vanessa Carlton, my favourite food is Pizza, My favourite actor is Johnny Depp, and my favourite actress is Kate Winslet.

Q:What are your goals for the rest of the year?

VZ: I'd like to end the year in the top 15 and win my first title, I think those goals are very reachable.

Williams Happy To Be In Quarterfinal
Former World #2, American Serena Williams, who has, because of a long slump, doubled her ranking, came into San Diego looking for answers and some much needed confidence. Now in the quarterfinals, she is feeling good about her game and hopin she can take it to the next level.
"I was really frustrated," said Williams, who had accrued a stretch of over 8 tournaments without reaching the last 8, including several first round defeats. "I just felt like I couldn't win a match, and I hate that feeling."
At Wimbledon, she had a bit of a turn-around, and started playing well before falling, once again, to a lower ranked player. Last week, despite falling before the final, Williams put up a fight, holding match points before falling.
"I lost, but I mean, I felt like I gave it my all, and just came up short. I was really close, but that last point just wouldn't come."
This week, Serena has fought tough through 2 tough 3-setters, and is looking to keep it moving and make a march towards her first final since the Australian Hardcourt Circuit.
"It feels good to be on the good side of matches, and hopefully, I can keep this up, but the confidence boost that I've had, will certainly help me going into the US Open and the fall season."

the reason why i didnt want anyone to change points was only 1-2 people would change points, and my deadlines would be all screwed up
so until further notice no one can change points.
