The Georgian team are back with updates as promised. Today was the semifinal day, where in the 1st match Australia faced South Africa. Australia, who are #1 , began horribly against the much stronger opponent. Sam made errors after errors and the set finished 06 in only 23 minutes. Sam took a long toilet break after the set, and when she came back, the referee argued with her about staying so long, but she didnt listen and just continued playing. She began to go for her shots, since she had nothing to lose. The 2nd set didnt begin much better than the 1st one, with sam being down 0-4 when the rain began. She ran in joy to the lockers, and when she returned, she was no longer the sam before. She won 6 games in a row to take it to the 3rd which she won in a very tough battle 64 to reach yet another final.

The Georgian team then went to talk to Australia, who are their good friends, and the aussies said they were delighed with the win and another final on WTT.

In the 2nd semifinal, Poland lost to Spain in 3 sets, the score being 46 61 63. After losing the 1st set in an hour, Virginia never looked back and dropped only 4 games since, and secured a place in the final against Australia.

Nobody counted on the fact one week ago that Australia will attain a good result in Charleston. But Sam was able to do it, she is already in the final and hope can win it finally.

"I'm so glad about my victory, I beat Amanda, who's best surface is a clay. It was really hard match but fortunately I had so enogh willpower and I was mobiliy during the match. I really wanted to this victory over Amanda , and I was able to do it, I still can't believe."

Amazing from Australia. Finally they win a tournament and its Clay defeating the Spaniards and ending their 15 match winning streak on this surface, and with 55 less points aswell. A Tier I aswell will do wonders to their ranking and an Amazing Early Birthday Present for their coach. Congratulations Australia Very Very Much Deserved.

Australia Won Their First Title Finally!

Samatha Stosur won her first title for Australia today evening in Charleston, USA. She beat the Spanish Ruano Pascual, the score of the match was 7-5 6-4.

"FINALLY, I won a tournament, I was able to do it. I'm so glad, that's why I can't say any more." - said Sam after the historical match.

"Spain and Ruano Pascual is unbeatable on clay, in spite of this I was able to beat! Before the match my aim was that 'play well Sam and that's enough, you have no chance' although I was the better at the begin of the match. I was mobility, that's why I ran a lot, and I think I had more willpower. I really wanted to win this match, because our coach will celebrate his b-day tomorrow."

At the end of first set Sam played quite a good tennis, while Anabel was playing worse.
