Welcome to Week #11 of the WMFT Tour!

This week, we're going to have a special competition known as The Beijing Team Championships.

This will be a mixed event run for both the men's and women's tour, together.

The actual tournament will not start until later next week, but now it's time for sign-ups! (NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PLAY THIS EVENT, IT'S OPTIONAL)

Here is how the tournament will be run:
-This will be a 16 slot draw. There are only 29 men and 28 women though, so that means they'll be a possibly total of 57 players competing... and when that is divded by 4 players per team, the most teams they'll be is approximately 14.
-The teams will match up, like Fed Cup and Davis cup, and have 7 ties per match. The ties are: Women's Singles A and B, Men's Singles A and B, Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles
-Whichever team wins 4/7 ties advances to the next round
-Each team will consist of 2 male and 2 female players. BOTH OF YOUR PLAYERS MUST BE ON THE SAME TEAM
-In each match, the higher ranked team will get home court advantage. They good to choose on which court the matches will be held (rebound ace, clay, grass, or hardcourt-- so it'd be smart to pick whatever court you have the most points on :p)

Rankings/Seeding will be decided by adding up all 4 of your players ranking. So, the highest ranking you could possibly have would be 6. (you have the #1 and #2 women's and men's players on your team... but I don't think this is possible, because the #1 and #2 on each side are held by 4 different players :p)
There will be 4 seeds for this event.

To sign up, just find a partner and post your team in this thread. REMEMBER:
BOTH OF YOUR PLAYERS MUST BE ON THE SAME TEAM! So, there will be 2 coaches per team, each with 1 male and 1 female player.

Well, the way I see it for mixed doubles is that, like doubles, only 1 coach will be able to send points... And, since you both have 1 male and 1 female, it won't matter what players will participate in the 1 mixed doubles match.

The only rule is that 1 coach can't have 2 players in mixed doubles, it must be 1 from each. I havne't decided on the points system for it yet, that will come later :)

yes... the ranking points are going to be in the middle of a Tier II and Tier III... I call it Tier IIB... Ihaven't decided how many yet though- that will come later :)
