Vancouver, CAN -- Lindsay Davenport recovered from a first set bagel to defeat surprise finalist Alona Bondarenko 0-6 6-2 6-4 and win the Dubai Duty Free Open yesterday. As the scoreline suggests, the American struggled with her game early on, but found her range in the second set and never looked back.

'It feels so good to finally get back to winning ways,' said a clearly delighted Davenport. 'It may have only been a Tier III, but I needed this to regain my confidence and my desire. I love playing on hard courts, so it's a great opportunity for me to get back the form I had early in the season.'

Before last week, Davenport had endured a torrid run, crashing out early at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon. At the latter event, Lindsay appeared disinterested, a shadow of her former self. That particular loss even prompted a retirement threat.

'To be honest, unless I have a deep run at the US Open, I'll be very disappointed with my season. I'm trying not to put all my eggs in one basket, but that is my main focus at the moment. Winning these warm-up events is nice but I have my eyes on the big one.'

Vancouver,Canada:-There'll be a new face on tour this week,and she's none other than Justine Henin from Belgium.The petite lady arrived earlier than most of the players in the tour for the Tier II hardcourt event-Oldlum Brown Vancouver's Open.However,there's someone familiar along with her.She is with Anastassia Rodioniova's coach!

Why is he following Henin?And where is Rodionova?When the reporters approached her coach,he refused to say anything.Even the newcomer Henin also has nothing much to say about.She only said:"I just hope to play my best tennis and hope for a great career."

Later,reporters asked the WFTC Tour Director,Yuran about Henin's appearance and Rodionova's absence after Wimbledon,he replied:"I believe Justine will be a good player and brings a lot of joy to the tour.And for your information,she'll be replacing Rodionova's place in the doubles to play with Elena Dementieva of Russia after we got an agreement from the players.As for Rodionova,I also haven't heard much from her since Wimbledon and I heard she did attend to watch some of the matches in Dubai.Other than that,I didn't get any news about her."

Before this article is due,we got a very shocking news:Rodionova had went for a plastic surgery straight away after Wimbledon with the all her prize money and it was rumoured that all of the surgeries done were a big failure.Eventually,the doctor who helped her on the surgery was found out to be a fake one.According to an unknown source,she wanted to be at least as tall as Maria Sharapova but instead,the doctor cut off some of the bone in her leg and now becomes shorter.She also intended to make her face as beautiful as Angelina Jolie but it was all messed up.And the most interesting part was she wanted a similar boob job as Mariah Carey but ended up without one now.With all these,Rodionova was very sad and thought of comitting suicide but she was rescued when she was found lying on her bed after consuming a bottle of vitamin C.Finally,she decided to change her name to Justine Henin.

Unbelievable huh?

Eventually,the Belgian broke down to tears in the post match press conference when asked about her actual identity.

Vancouver, CAN -- Lindsay Davenport moved into the final of the Oldlum Brown Vancouver Open yesterday with a 4-6 7-5 6-2 win over Anatasia Myskina. In doing so, the American extended her win streak to 7 matches, following her title in Dubai last week. Despite struggling early on, Lindsay played a stunning third set to get the victory.

Davenport will face Alicia Molik in a bid to win the fourth title of her career.

'I'm just playing very solid tennis at the moment,' said Lindsay. 'I'm hitting the ball cleanly, and the motivation is back...but I suppose that's bound to happen when you start winning again (smiles). Alicia is a player I've had difficulties with in the past, particularly at the end of last season, but I beat her in our last meeting and I think I can do the same tomorrow.'
