Patch Sep 3rd, 2007, 05:00 PM New to the WTT...
Blogger of the Week
As no-one was really writing articles () I have decided to add somthing new to the WTT; the Blogger of the Week! If you decide to be the Blogger of the Week you write articles about your countires results in the tournament or review the matches played for bonus surface points to use at next tournament.
If write at least 3 articles you will get 20 extra pts. But if you write 5 or more articles you can get 30 Bouns pts, so being Blogger of the week could reallly help you in the tournaments to come.
There will be only 1 Blogger at a tournament so we can have 1 at Acapulco and 1 at Tokyo but not 2 at Acapulco and 0 at Tokyo. If two people want to be blogger of the week then its first come first serve - the only exception is at Grand Slams where it can be numerous countries blogging. Not everyone has to be blogger of the week and we dont need a blogger every week if you dont want but it would be nice we had some starting here!!
So to start of - Anyone Intrested this Week??

Patch Sep 5th, 2007, 11:29 AM Patchs Picks
Paris
Quarter Final
1 UZB Agkul Amanmuradova vs. SRB Jelena Jankovic
I think this will be a close match. Serbia have not competed to much but Uzbekistan have shown a big dislike to this surface. I think it will be close but I say Jankovic has more confidence on this surface therfore the edge.
Patch Picks - Jankovic in 2
POL Marta Domachoskwa vs. 3 AUT Tamira Paszek
I think this will be the best match if the Quarter Finals today. Poland show huge promise on this surface but this is their first outing indoors. On the other hand, Austria have already made a final on Carpet and now what it takes. I think a very close 3 set match.
Patch Picks - Paszek in 3
4 FRA Mary Peirce vs. CZE Kveta Peschke
France and Czech Republic played last week in the Semi Finals and France won en route to their maiden title. They have high confidence at the moment and I think they have the edge.
Patch Picks - Peirce in 3
USA Bethanie Mattek vs. 2 CHN Peng Shuai
China have shown time after time what it takes and I think they can show it again against USA. Peng Shuai has already been in one final this season and has the draw and experiance to make it two.
Patch Pickes - Peng in 2
