Jankovic Ready for WFTC Debut

After a startling retirment by World #2 Maria Sharapova at the Australian Open where she was the defending champion, her coach has already began training with a new player, Jelena Jankovic. Jankovic will make her debut this week at the Bridas Latina America Cup in Buenos Aires. Jankovic says she knows adapting to the tour will not be easy but is also very much looking forward to her firs match against the winner of Harkleroad or Mauresmo.

"I'm definetely excited to be here. After Sharapova retired my new coach, Blake, came to me and said he wanted to be my coach. I think I have the talent to reach the top, after the Australian Open it won't be easy but with hard work and determination I don't think I can be stopped. I'm on a mission for #1."

After this Tennis Trainer tennis2006 searched a new player to train, Maria Sharapova was searching for a new trainer. So tennis2006 and Maria Sharapova come together. Maria: I think tennis2006 can make me better and let me win grand slams. I’m very happy.
Maria Sharapova will start playing with her new trainer in Buenos-Ayres.
In 1st round she will meet Tammy Tanasugarn, who defeated her in Melbourne.

World number one Elena Dementieva has arrived in Capital of Argentina, ready for this weeks Bridas Latina America Cup. The Australian Open champion is the defending champion here.

Dementieva said she hoped for a good result this week, but she's so tired ater the first GS of the year.
"You know, as good as a victory sounds, I was so happy with it at all. I felt like I played incredible in the tournament."

When asked where she thinks she should finish in the tournament, Dementieva wasn't optimistic.
"You know, I think I have a very tough draw. In the quarter I could play probably Tanasugarn who was my opponent in the AO me or the 8th seed Golovin. And in the semi I'll have to play probably against Molik. I don't think that I'll be in the final. But I'll fight and I want to win it because I love Buenos Aires."

i hope this tourney will be with live scoring from 2r (not like GS though :lol: )

i have some doubts cause I got temporary job and I work hard for 16 hours :o :eek: :sad: and 2 hours to get back home :rolleyes: so I will have about 5-10 mins for results :(

i hope i can find more attractive job though :o

CT didn't affect result. you won first CT at 5-6 and that's why Tatiana won TB on CT ;)

if you loose first CT it would have been 5-7 score anyway

After a long rain delay, where all players can’t train, Miss Golovin and Dementieva were the first two players to continue this tournament. Both seeded players this week, this match were supposed to be one of the :drool: quarterfinal match. Frenchwoman, 8th seed here, surprised everyone today when she sent home the new world number one, Elena Dementieva in a three sets affair of 2-6, 6-3 and 7-5.
“It has rained for two days, so all players can’t train during these two days. All I was doing was: eating, sex with Tour director, sex with the new starlet (JJ), eating, sleeping, eating, sex with Tour director and my new doubles partner (JJ:p) and…eating, did I say it? Well, it was tough to be back on court today. In the first set, Elena was ready mentally as I wasn’t. I was hitting loads of errors and wasn’t moving well. I asked for a break after the second set because I wanted to eat, they refused it to me. Then, I’ve called the Tour director to complain about that shitty umpire and then, the umpire accepts my request. I ate a lot and I changed my dress. When I get back on court, I felt a lot better and I totally break the momentum of Elena. She had difficulty to get back in the match as I was ready to kick her ass. She makes many double faults and her serve really sucks. It was horrible. I took the second set 6-3. During the third set, she gets her confidence back and her serve too. Both of us played really well during the third and the crowd was really excited to see two beautiful women battling out and screaming for the victory. Well, I should say “moaning for the victory” in Elena’s case. However, at 4-5 down, I really stepped up my game to take the advantage of every point. I am really happy to have won this match. It’s been a while since I haven’t been a in a semifinal.” says Tatiana.
In the semifinal, the sexy teenager will meet Alicia Molik.
“I hate to play against Alicia. She’s negative and always screamed it’s over but she always get her game back to kick your ass out of the tournament! This is annoying sometimes. I mean, she cries and says: oh hell, I’ll loose! And she always fought her way back to victory. :mad: However, she’s a great player and I don’t think I’ll beat her. I never kick her ass before but for sure, I hope it’s going to happen in some minutes! :p :hug: I wish her a great match against me and I am sure it will be a good match. But now, I have to stop because Tour director is waiting for my ass to get on the court…” says Golovin.

Today Alicia Molik def. again Tatiana Golovin 6-3 6-3, after this match Alicia said: "easy match, in whole match I was playing with left hand so she got those 6 games otherwise it would be 6-0 6-0. In final I will play Mattek, I beat her once but for sure this time I will lose (tears in eyes)"

We hope for an interview after tomorrow's won lost final :)
