Quebec City. Nicole Vaidisova the new sensation to the tour has reported to have accept the proposal of the tour director Yuri Nedorezanyuk to marry her. The pair was seeing each other since Moscow and everything went well. Few dates later Yuri popped the question and Nicole couldnt be more happier. She said yes and the pair was seen having a great time together.The pair set their wedding date during the week of Australian Open. Nicole who just joined the tour has won China Open brilliantly defeating the retired world number 1 Svetlana Kuznetsova. Nicole also withdrew from the ITF event she is schedule to play next week.

Dementieva ready for Quebec City!

She works very strongly since the US open. She played on 4 tournaments and she has 2 semi-finals and 2 Quarterfinals. After the US open she traveled directly into China, where she was semifinalist. She lost to the first seed Svetlana Kuznetsova.

The next city was Zürich, Elena was really tired, so she lost to the unseeded alicia Molik in the qearters.

After Zürich, she drove into Moscow, where she played at the Kremlin Cup. This is her favourite torunament, becuse she play at home. Unfortunaltely she lost to another Russian Tatiana Panova in the semifinal and she'll injured but Elena really wants to play therefore drove into next city, Linz, which are there in Austria.
That was a Tier II tournament and Lena was the third seed. Elena was "only" fourth in the ranking, but Svetlana Kuznetsova, the world number one retirement.
The Russian played really great, but it was not enogh, she lost to again the Australian Alicia Molik.

After the match:
"I just don't know what happened. I was trying my best but she was just better. Whatever I threw at her, she threw back twice as hard."

Now, she traveld into the USA. Elena trains, because she want to win the YEC. She isn't in a good shape, but she works.

"Qubec City is a great city, I saw many sightseeing and the weather also good. I train every day a lot of hours with my mom [Vera] and I hope that at least I'll be semifinalist here. The YEC will be the next week and I want to win it."

Dementieva is a fourt seed, because in the last week she was only quarterfinalist and in the last year she was finalist.
Elena will face in the first round with her doubles partner, Maria Kirlenko at the Bell Challenge.

Francesca Schiavone beat seventh seeded Anna Kournikova from Russia in two close sets 76(4) 76(5) in the quarterfinal of Quebec City, the last WFTC tournament before Year End Championships. Italian still has a chance to take last YEC spot after Alicia Molik failed to reach semifinal and lost to second seeded Ana Ivanovic from Serbia. Schiavone needs to reach at least Quebec final to qualify. Her semifinal opponent will be Frenchwoman Amelie Mauresmo, who beat wildcard Flavia Pennetta 0-6;6-2;6-3

Anastassia Rodionova Advances into the Semifinal

Russian player,Anastassia Rodionova has eliminated American Jennifer Capriati,who is also her doubles partner in the quarterfinals of the Quebec City 7-6(4),4-6,6-3.

Rodionova,who lost in the first round in Linz last week,started off quite well in the first set.However,she wasted 2 set points when she was up 5-4.She eventually won the first set in a tie-break.

Capriati bounced back with a 6-4 win on the second set but Rodionova showed she was in better form than her opponent by winning the deciding set 6-3.

"Well,she(Capriati) also played quite well.The first set was actually the deciding set for me because if I hadn't won it,it would be a straight set victory for her."said Rodionova in the post match press conference.

"I'm really glad that I'm in the semis for the first time.I hope I am able to improve my game and also my rankings.I'm definitely looking forward to playing in the semis.I'll try my very best to go far in this tournament,"saying about her semifinal appearance.

Anastassia Rodionova will meet World No.2 Ana Ivanovic in the semi-finals of the Tier II event.

i used jenny's this time ;)

to make clear whose points i use, I always write like:

Rodionova/Capriati if i use Nastya's points for doubles

Capriati/Rodionova if I use Jennifer's points

i do it with all doubles teams ;)
