So Here I Go:

After being on the Juniors tour for a while, I've decided to go pro. My coach, family and I have decided that it's best for me to try my luck on the pro tour. I did pretty well on the tour (that pic up there if of me winning the Australian Open Junior title), and so I'm really excited about this coming season.

I have a really busy schedule this season, and hopefully, I can play enough tournaments and do well enough to ideally make the top 10 by the end of the season.

There are a lot of great players on tour, and I hope that I can compete up there with top level of players. I'm going to train my hardest, and I know that it won't be easy, but I'm going to go out there each week and do my best.

Thanks for subscribing to my blog, and I hope that you all enjoy this journey with me.

-With Love,
Shahar

Heading Out Down Under
http://www.wtnphotos.com/data/3261/IO_2499_gallery.jpg

So, I'm getting ready to leave Northern California (where my coach lives and where I train, even though I still play for Israel) for my first tourney.

The tour heads down under for 2 weeks or so before the first major tournament, The AUSTRALIAN OPEN :worship:

I'm going to play a couple of tourneys to get ready for it, and I'm going to play singles and double, so I get as much practice as possible. Hopefully I can get some good points and move up the rankings here :yeah:

-Much Love

Bittersweet Saturday

Well, this saturday was kinda interesting. Me and my doubles partner Lucie practiced for our doubles final tomorrow, but I lost my singles match.

I tried really hard, but I guess I need some more work on my game. Sometimes in tight situations I need to work on still swining freely and not letting the moment get to me, but it'll come with practice.

So tomorrow is the doubles final, and I hope that I can leave Auckand with a trophy, but hey, I made a final, so this is all upside for me. I'll be in at least i'll be in the top 10 in singles and the top 10 in doubles.

Well, I write again on the plane to Sydney, so wish me luck guys.

With L:hearts:ve,
-Shahar :wavey::kiss:

Melbourne Melodrama

First things first....

Sorry I haven't been writing lately, I've been super-busy training hard and working on getting my ranking up, and being the best player that I can be :yeah:

Ok, now on with the story.

So like everyone else, I came to Melbourne for a shot at the Australian Open, and Reebok, was really nice, and let me pick out some of my own stuff, and even gave me some custom things that weren't released to the other girls yet. ;)

So, I get to the airport from Sydney, because they sent a rep out there to talk with me about shooting a commercial, and working it around my tour schedule. So anyway, I get to baggage claim, and my suitcase with my new stuff isn't on there.

So I go to the Baggage Claim help desk to talk to the man about my catastrophe, and let's just say that he was more than apathetic...so Reggie, my coach, tried to give him so motivation ;) (he acts just like my big brother, he's really overprotective, but I love him)

Well, they still haven't found it, yet, and it's time for my first match, so I just wear something I had from Sydney, and the thing is, I like to keep a routine with my outfits, it's a superstition, but hey

So anyway, I get the new clothes finally in time for my quarterfinal match, and I'm really thinking about it, because they're so cute, but it would mess up the program of wearing the same thing for a whole tournament....well needless to say, the superstition is true

I told Justine, my doubles partner, that I was sorry for letting her down, but she wasn't mad, she just laughed and we had ice cream in our hotel room after my match, she's a really cool player, and I'm glad we're partners :)

Well off to Tokyo :wavey:

Getting Started In Tokyo

So my plane landed yesterday in Tokyo, and I was completely amazed at all of the beauty there.

Justine and I hit the practice courts to get ready for our opening rounds. I'm really excited that we're playing together here. Because of her ranking, she has to play qualifying to get into the singles main draw, but I'm going to go to her match tomorrow, and I'm SURE she'll win...she's a great player with a great game, and I know once she gets into the swing of playing regularly, she'll be a force to be reckoned with.

So we don't know who we open our doubles campaign against, but we're going to do our best to take the title :yeah:

Ok, I'll be back after my next round :wavey:
