What a hard fight !!!!!

"That was a really hard day for me. After I arrived at the Stadium i had a little training session with my coach. Then I had to wait for my match. I was very nervous because this was my first match on tour and we all need wins for advancing our game. Then a nice women call my name and Sophie Ferguson and me enter the Stadium Court. I was very suprised because the stands were full. Then we started. I had a great start and i was leading 53. Then I had a Setpoint but Sophie began to play great. Finally we advanced to a Tiebreak which I lost 67(1). I was angry about the set and made many errors, so Sophie already led 52, but then I played my best tennis and won the Second Set in a great Tiebreak 76(3). The Third Set was balanced we both held our services and advanced to another Tiebreak. I broke early in the Tiebreak and won the Set and the match after startproblems with 67(1) 76(4) 76(3). I´m so happy that I won my first match but now another hard opponets is following. Anna-Lena Groenefeld won her First Round match in Three sets and will be my opponent in the Quarterfinals. I hope i´ll have a good day tomorrow."

A really mixed day for me !!!!!

" Wow I have really good news for my fans. Today I played my Quarterfinal again Anna-Lena Groenefeld. Again I played on a really full Center Court. I dominated the match from the beginning. After I had some problems in the First set which i won 75 I played better and better. In the End I won the Second Set 64 after I was leading 51. I´m happy to stand in the Semifinals of Gold Coast. My next opponent is my country women Elena Dementieva. She played great tennis in this tournament so it´ll be very very hard. After my single match i had a little break. Then Liga Dekmeijere and me played our doubles match against Jelena Jankovic and Olga Poutchkova. We lost 62 26 75. It was a very Up and Down amtch from us. I hope we can play together next week in Sydney again. In the evening i was in a great China restaurant near my hotel. It was so tasy. So that was my Update from the Day. Bye!"

Rainy day in Gold Coast

What a bad wether in Gold Coast. After 2 great days with hot temperatures, the wether turns into bad today. It was windy and it has rained all the time. Our Semifinals delayed and they´ll play tomorrow. Si it was a free day from tennis today. I played some games at my Laptop and with my good friend Liga Dekmeijere. We had a lot of fun. In the evening I was in a Indoorhall to hit some balls before the big Semifinal against Elena Dementieva tomorrow. After that I was again in the China restaurant and ate a tasty Beijing-Soup. Now all player are hoping for a better day tomorrow. Bye

Final in Gold Coast

Ohhhh yes after the bad rainy day in Gold Coast, I reached the Final of Gold Coast. For me it was a dream before the tournament to have such a great start this year. In the Semifinals I won against my counttry women Elena Dementieva. It was a great match but Elena made many Doubles Faults in important moments. The First set was balanced by breaks till 55 then I broken and Elena led 65. But then a game with 3 DF from Elena and we were in the Tiebreak. The Tiebreak was very easy for me. Elena was down after that bad service game and made error after error. I won the Tibreak 76(0). Then Elena started with a break into the Second Set. She held the Break all the time and served well in the Second set she won it 64. Then came the important set of the day. Elena started again with the Break and held it till 54 but then I had a great returngame and hit 3 Returnwinners and broke. I held easy for 65 and had another good returngame to win the match 76(0) 46 75. It´s great to be in the Final of the FIRST tuornament of the season. Tomorrow in the Final I´ll play against a good friend Liga Dekmeijere. I hope I can win this tournament and go with a lot self-confident to Sydney. Bye

Title and the Number ONE in the World

Ahhhhhhhh I´m soooo happy today. I won the final of Gold Coast against my good Latvia friend Liga Dekmeijere and take the trophy to Russia. It was a really Up and Down match. I already was down 04 in the First Set but I fought back to win the Set in a easy Tiebreak 76(0). Then I got nervous and played bad tennis. I made something like 20 unforced Errors and I was very angry. Liga was happy about it and won the Second Set 63. Then we both started good in the Thirs Set. By 33 in the Third Set, I broke for 43 and held the serve till the end of the match. I won a good final against Liga 76(0) 36 64. With this win I´m the new and First number one on Pro Tour. I´m really happy because the Trophy is very nice. In the evening i´ll took the plane to Sydney: I´ll sit next to Liga in the plane. The tournament is starting Wednesday so i have some days to get free from tennis. I write a new Blog entry when I´m in Sydney so Good Bye and Good night my fans.

Arrival in Sydney

Sorry for the Delay bu the last two Days I was really tired and can´t write something for my blog. Yesterday I arrived at the airport in Sydney with my coach. And then the surprise. My mother visit me here in Sydneya and will be byme for the Australian Open. I´m really happy and this was a great idea from my coach. I love him. We were in a great Russian restaurant together. We take place in a big hotel with 5 rooms for us. But now to Tennis. On Monday I haven´t hit a ball because I had some problems with my shoulder but now it´s ok. The courts are very fast here. I like the courts because they´re perfect for my game. Today I hit some balls with my coach and the with my mum. That was really fun. The tournament start tomorrow. I´m the Number 1 in the world so I´m the Top Seed. It´s a great feeling. I have to play against the Israel women Shahar Peer. A really tough opponent but i hope i can win my 5th match in a row.
