Article here but in Portuguese :p http://www.ojogo.pt/21-223/artigo501818.htm

I'll give a short translation:

Despite travelling today to Mexico with her father, staying there the next 8 weeks to play 7 tournaments, Frederica Piedade will take a new step in her career, because she won't be coached anymore by her father. It was her own father who made the decision public, without giving too much information. To the newspaper, he said that "this was a situation that has been growing for some time and now it's time for Frederica to decide what's better." He considered he has already helped a lot Frederica's career and that she has what it takes to go higher and that she'll surely do it with other people. Who? The answer is still not found, but her father said: "there are many options and it's Frederica who will choose". Everything points out, that the future of the best portuguese tennis player will be linked to a group where she'll have all the facilities on the different areas of training. Considering the good relationship that Frederica has with other athletes, there should be three possibilities: the inclusion in the Argentine group, of which makes part Mariana Diaz Oliva; in Barcelona, where between others there are Lourdes Dominguez Lino and Nuria Llagostera Vives; or in an accademy in Saddlebrook with the supervision of Pat Etcheberry.

Good luck Frederica on whatever decision she makes :)

Will she still play 50 out of 52 weeks? :p

 I guess not, but only if she stops playing injured and losing in the first round of half of the tournaments she plays :p

She used to play less but more consistently, but since she had the knee surgery in 2003, after she won her first 25K in Brazil, things were never the same
