At Universiade this summer,I saw her,she looked good me,she played great,reached to QF I think of a 64 player draw.

Didnt look injured at all...

I was talking with her coach and he didnt say she has problem either.she didnt look injured,she was moving well,was playing well...And she has a huge smile :hug:

I had a pleasure to talk with her, her coach (boyfriend or husband ??) in Torun about 2 month ago. They were so friendly and nice !! They definitely didn`t plan that as Petra`s coach said me for good-bye that we maight meet here next year.

Österreichs derzeit sechsbeste WTA-Spielerin Petra Rußegger wird mindestens vier bis sechs Wochen pausieren müssen. Die Kitzbühelerin leidet vermutlich bereits seit Monaten an einer Zyste im Unterkiefer. "Ich bin ständig müde, fühl' mich seit einem halben Jahr kränklich", beschreibt Petra ihre Symptome, die sie in den Superliga-Partien gegen Susi Six und Evi Fauth, sowie beim Challenger von Durmersheim zur Aufgabe gezwungen hatten.

Ob Petra weiterhin professionell durchzieht, ist noch nicht fix.

Kieferknochen angegriffen
Entdeckt wurde die Zyste, ein sackartiges Geschwulst mit flüssigem Inhalt, bei einem Zahnarztbesuch. Bei Petra hat sie schon Golfballgröße und hat bereits den Kieferknochen angegriffen. Die Tirolerin wird voraussichtlich noch in dieser Woche operiert, vier bis sechs Wochen Pause sind danach Pflicht.

Zukunft ungewiss
Dennoch denkt die 26-Jährige positiv, obwohl sogar das Lachen wegen der Zyste schmerzt: "Ich bin froh, dass ich endlich weiß, was mit mir los ist." Wie es mit der Tenniskarriere der Spielerin des TC ISB Altenstadt weitergeht, weiß sie selbst noch nicht: "Wenn ich wieder fit bin, werde ich entscheiden, ob ich noch ein Jahr dranhänge."
