Thank you! had no problems downloading...As for the match, i was actually quite relieved after seeing it. I expected worse because of the score. It's probably because I knew Maria was going to get beat, but I don't think she played that bad. Lindsay was just playing better and seemed to have luck on her side that day whereas Maria had none. Thanks again! :)

so sorry people... the next part of the justine vs serena match is in my next disc and i haven't finalized yet. and i have an exam paper on friday. so i can't do it this week. i'll try to do it as soon as my paper finishes. :)

i watched it all. even though she took the first set i just couldnt see her winning it. I honestly knew that Serena would come back and win in three sets. it was really obvious. i felt real bad for Vee being injured. must have made it harder for Serena too.

WOW!!! Just watched Serena dominate Hingis I know this isnt how all their matches went but I wasnt that big of a tennis fan then as I am now but I dont think anyone can argue against Hingis retiring because she couldnt' handle the power of the Williams sisters and Davenport. I especially like the part where they talk about the sisters possibly winning the calendar GS!!!

Some of us (read: me) don't save tennis matches, let alone know how to upload them. Nowhere in this thread does it say you have to upload a match before you can download one, so piss off. If you don't want to upload matches for people who can't themselves, don't do it anymore. :)

I'm only speaking for myself though, I personally cant upload matches because I don't save any.

as always - there are people who think they have the right to "demand".
while i haven't uploaded any match (with the top reason that all my tennis matches were: a) already linked here b) from this thread in the first place!) i wait patiently for any request i have, don't demand any form of list of matches and don't nudge again and again for the favours i request.
I ain't no hero - my behavior isn't that of any great philosophic aprouch or anything like it - it's only bieng polite and bieng thankful towards any match uploaded, and the uploaders of them.
some of the people here provide full technology explanations not only for saving matches via tellevision but also uploading them through linked softwares.
they also help all the complaints regarding sound or vedio problems.
they aren't asking for anything in exchange - they are doing it in thier spare time insead of anything else they might want to do and they are doing it for the love of the sport and thier wish to spread it out as much as possible.
some people here, especially as the thread is getting bigger and bigger - are acting as though they have the right to demand what match and when.
some posts are just downright depressing. a "thank you" and maybe a good rep or PM could be a better way to show your gratitude than naming the next match you'd like pronto.

And for the uploaders - please don't get down from the never ending complaints and demands - you are doing nothing less than voulonteer work for all us ADHDs and PDDs.
hopefully we retards can contribute as much as you do someday.
thanks alot for all your hard work and time - please continue supllying us with all various matches as yuo have so far.

Oh God please stop being agressive about uploading/downloading...a lot of people as me have NO way to have matches on their computers...I have a very basic internet connection and I don't have Eurosport or either sports channel, we just can't have matches...nobody obliges you to upload matches if it's so much tiring for you :tape:

and for the videos you have on VHS , you have for now two ways to pass them to your PC.

1. VHS to DVD, then DVD to AVI or any video format, and upload them to a hosting site.

2. Record them to digital video with TV-tuner, you will need to have the software to capture the videos and codec of DIVX or XVID , MPEG , ect.

he made countless videos for us and i just uploaded them AGAIN for those who never see them before.

I just have matches from this year like in Australian Open, Miami, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open etc. and i like to collect interview videos and commercials so i uploaded them:) and im sure i will get more next year.

Just watched this entire match and all i have to say is F*** you Mary Carillo I didnt get to watch the first set when the match was live cuz i had a bball game but hearing what she said about Serena's injury pissed me off. I can't believe that heartless bitch would say stuff like that and then laugh when Serena was being seen by the trainer. It wouldnt have pissed me off as bad but I saw ALL of the Wimbledon final and she was so dissapointed Lindsay was hurt and she felt bad for Lindsay and basically kissed her ass the rest of the match. IDC what anyone says shes one of the worst announcers I've heard in any sport in my WHOLE life. I'm saying this not only as a Williams sisters fan but a tennis fan period what she said and did was dispicable.(i think i spelled that right) :fiery: :fiery: :fiery: :fiery:

I've been vedio-tapin match clips that are shown on a small italian channel that i get - when the vedio is totally full, i will be sending it to a store that converts vedio into something i can use on the computer - i will be needing your help when that happens kammgretel.
so far i caught some great match clips, including mariana diz oliva, vivi rauno pascual, testud, vintage dokic, a very young petrova, henin and sugiyama looking way young and more.
I'll be VERY happy to share it with you guys - in the mean time, keep the vids coming!

mpeg2 is infact the same compression used in dvds although they tend to be wrapped inside a container like vob. Hence the size and difficulty playing in certain programs. vlc or other dvd-friendly programs (powerDVD or winDVD) with mpeg2 decoder should be able to play the mpeg2 files. To reduce the size you will either have to change it to mpeg1 as in the vcds, or divx encoded avi files. The same programs you used to rip dvds should work with your mpeg2.

She didn't appear to be bad, but she wasn't aggressive at all and basically hit up the middle which played right into Maria's hands. If you hadn't watched Venus over the years then you might think she wasn't bad, but she was.

Ive seen enough of Venus to see what you mean but when she had an opening she took it most times. Maria was dictating and Venus was doing a lot of retrieving which explains a bit. We could say a similar thing about the Wimbledon SF but in the reverse.
