Like Nicole played a full year when she was 15 - yes under the AER, but this is Misa's first full year on the tour and it's how she and her family decided to proceed. She had hoped to have the USO as her first GS tourney this year, and now she's up to #58 in the world)....and besides, who cares really what age they are? They are all fairly close in age...well ok golovin's I think a couple of years older. I just wanted to put her achievements in prespective... it's not that uncommon for 16-years old to make a splash on the tour... some do it a year or two younger, some get higher than others... some stay in or near the top, some fall back as fast as they rise... (recent example: Sprem) Hey she's my fave...course I'm gonna get angry! :p And well considering she started the year at 245, I think top 60 is still pretty damn good. And the way she's been playing, she's gonna be around for a long time! :p And how do you put her achievements into perspective by just looking at her age? So people who make the top 20, or top 10 at a later age aren't good or haven't achieved anything? It's definitely a good achievement for Misa, but not such a rare phenomena... every year there are several players that surge up the ranking... most of those newcomers are 16-20 years old, it's far less frequent to see "late bloomers" who rise sharply in older age...
