Hi guys just wondering hypothetically if a player wanted to play in a tournament and they werent on the entry list - would they still be allowed in? (in this hypothetical situation the person's ranking would be pretty good)

If they weren't given a WC into the MD, they'd have to play qualifying. It happened to Neha Uberoi this week in a $10k in the US. Was #1 seed in qualies & MD!! Daniella Dominikovic, Lisa D'Amelio & I think Liga Dekmejire played qualies in a $10k in AUS this year.

Cool well dittmanfan hypothetically is really reality cos it said in the paper Soph Ferguson was going to hit the Italian satellite circuit but there are tournaments next week and the week after that she isn't in the entry list for but she's in the one the week after...what do you reckon will happen?

She'd be able to play qualies next week. It'd be a good thing to get some extra matchplay, as well as the extra points for qualifying.

hey thats pretty cool - she's already in the entry list for the 6/6 and 13/6 - just nothing up for 30/6. i guess only time will tell.
she said something about trying to improve her ranking in time for wimbledon qualies - but isnt that a bit over - like they use the ranking from last week or something? so now im thinking there is a remote chance she'll get a WC into wimbledon qualie draw or something. would be really good. cos she can obviously match players who are heaps high above her...what do you reckon about wimbledon WC? they dont just give them out hey...except to like past champs/runners up eg scud?
