Sherif upsets Kostyuk, posts first consecutive tour-level wins since July
Mayar Sherif levelled her head-to-head with Marta Kostyuk at two wins apiece with a straight-sets win over the No.25 seed in the second round of the Mutua Madrid Open. The result marked the first time Sherif had won back-to-back tour-level matches since reaching the 2023 Palermo semifinals nine months previously.
